Super Easy Plug-n-Play.
Bought this to add on to my cranky cable modem/router. Followed the instructions and it worked right out of the box. Easy to configure, easy to assign static IP's for the things that need them. I like the fact that it auto-updates the firmware (I don't think the cable company has ever updated they one they make me use). This product was very thoughtfully designed to be an add-on so as not to interfere with the primary equipment supplied by the cable company. I like it so much I have now moved everything over to it and have even turned off the wireless in my cable modem/router. I highly recommend this router to anyone needing to extend/upgrade their wireless (I now have a 5 ghz channel, yay!), wanting a second internal network or setting up a DMZ.

Half a year later....It sucks
It really helps to reach the highest speed as my internet provider allows! ---------------------------------------------------- Half a year later, the router is not reliable anymore. Especially, the 5G band does not work anymore....Always fail to connect.....Any way to fix it?

Good for the price, wireless speeds are on the slower side
Right out of the box, it had an older firmware version and the configuration web page was very buggy, but upgrading to the latest firmware fixed it. Wireless speeds are on the slower side, but fine for general web browsing. If you need an inexpensive router to get wifi to a few devices and you aren't worried about maximum speed, this router works fine.

Wifi router that really routes.
Three years later and it still works like new.

Started malfunctioning after a few months, customer service didn't help
I purchased this router in November of 2020, and it started malfunctioning after just a few months, in April of 2020. It would suddenly shut down with no warning, and reboot, which kept disrupting my internet connection. It is still under the manufacturer warranty, so Linksys should have replaced it, but it turned out that they have that terrible kind of customer service where they've got lots of superfluous or irrelevant "troubleshooting" steps, with lots of hold time, so to actually get them to provide the replacement was taking more time than I could reasonably spare, just to save the cost of a new router. I will avoid Linksys in future, and am recommending that we avoid their equipment in my company. They seem to have little interest in building trust with consumers!

Works more or less. Not great.
I bought this router to replace another AC1200 router that had stopped working reliably. The good: easy to set up. Throughput is sufficient - I didn't test to see if it was performing as well as the previous. The bad: 1) The connection to my laptop randomly stops working. I'm still connected but no internet traffic is coming in or out. I have to exit the wifi connection and reconnect to make it work 2) The setup is godawful. It took over an hour and jumping between both PC and cell browsers to be able to access the setup utilities and configure the wifi away from the initial default 3) This router is incredibly primitive compared to my previous one. The previous router, I could change the wifi frequencies - important because I live in an apartment with like 50 different wifis running simultaneously. I could set up blocks. I could configure for cell phone access or no. etc etc.

Compact but powerful router
No issues at all. Easy set up, easy to get back into the settings to change parameters or passwords. Nice little router for the money.
