Was exactly what I was looking for! It went on great and I didn't have to worry about it being harmful to my son. It stayed on for several hours and was easy to wipe off. It was not at all greasy and it went on well with the included applicator and then a sponge. I used an eye liner brush for detailed work. I would highly recommend this product. Not only did it work great and the colors were bright and noticeable, but it is non toxic and does not contain any harmful ingredients like so many other face paints out there. It was a bit pricey but well worth it for the peace of mind. My son's sensitive skin didn't have any reaction to it even after several hours of use. A little soap and water took it right off.

Did NOT get colors as shown. We needed the yellow but got an a light blue instead. We also got a light pink rather than what looked like a red. I have updated my star count from a 2 to a 4 because in all we really do like these paints. I do believe they sent me the wrong set so I ended up having to order another (I have 3 total now) because we needed them right away and I didn't have time to deal with returning them. My daughter used these face paints for her economics fair at her school where she provided the service of face painting. She was a big hit! She did over 60 faces/backs of hands and we still have PLENTY of paint left. The colors are brilliant and dense....perfect for the job. I would recommend these paints to anyone (I just hope you get the colors you order).

This is not paint--face or any other kind. It has really nothing in common with paint. It's most similar to cream eye shadow. The saturation is very uneven. The black and red cover well, the greens and yellows do not. It smears and never dries. For a professional face painter, this is totally useless. It does not lend itself to normal face painting tools or techniques. I'm really sorry about that. The idea of coming up with a product that is free of lead, nickel, cobalt and chromium is great, and to be commended. I just don't understand what is so difficult about coming up with a water-based face paint that is free of toxic chemicals. So disappointed.

Very happy with our purchase. First and foremost, it's good to know that these are safe, non-toxic products. These are being applied to our kids' skin/faces, so knowing we're not putting sketchy chemicals is a real positive. The jars stack up into each other, making storage and transport easy. Now, the colors are not always going to completely cover the skin in one application. As with most face paints, some colors cover better than others. But since these are safe, then I don't worry about having to apply more paint to get the density I need. They held up pretty good to my kid running around. The thicker application could smear, but again, I think that's with any face paint. It washes off nicely. I found using a soft terry cloth had the best results for removal. Yes, these cost more than other sets, but I don't mind paying more for better, and safer quality products, especially when it comes to my kid. We need to encourage more companies to follow this model.

This is one of the more disappointing purchases I've made perhaps this year. The price is way too high, but I was willing to splurge a bit thinking I'm getting a quality paint. Being organic and hypoallergenic added to the appeal. However, the face paint itself is quite terrible. It's like trying to paint a face with partially dried lipstick. It doesn't cover well, it's difficult to apply, and you'll learn it's equally as difficult to remove. It's simply not worth it. It only comes with a single makeup style applicator of very low quality. You can't clean it, or certainly not use with more than once. All around, it's just not a good product. I consider myself artistic, and paint savvy, but my face paint selection skills could use some work.

I love that this is non-toxic. I bought for my kids to use for Halloween clowns. The first issue I had, was the red is actually burnt orange. A clown with orange cheeks and lips looked slightly odd. I then spent 2 hours shopping last minute for non toxic red lipstick. Then I had hard time getting it off one of my kids. I emailed and they instantly responded and said to use lotion. They had wonderful customer service. That helped, but my sons face was red with bumps by then.

My son is a fan of Strange Music artists. So whenever there's an ICP, or TechN9ne concert he is there face paint and all. This came the day of the ICP concert. He was a happy guy. While he only uses the black he was very happy with how smoothly it went on and covered Well. The sponge applicator was great and these would also work well with brushes. Will definitely be using them on the 4th of July. I like the way the pots screw together with a separate lid for the top. I received this item at a discount for my unbiased review.
