I connected my argb cables to my mobo and the pwm cables in the hub I connected the 4 pin to a argb header, my fans work but the lights don’t lightup?

Have you connected the SATA power cable to the hub? That's required too, and would explain your symptoms.

Can you use this for argb strips and other argb equipment? or is this just for argb fans.

Yeah, it works with argb stuff as long as it has the standard argb connector. This thing hooks into one fan header on your motherboard and splits it into six fan headers, and hooks onto one lighting header on your motherboard and splits that into six lighting headers. Fans and lighting are independent so you could use this board for all lighting and no fans, all fans and no lighting, or any combo in between.

Do i have to use the red port? can i not use the red port and still sync the argb to this device?

No, you don't. The port is designed for CPU Fan/pump, but really isnt a big deal, since you have PWM on all the other ports.

is compatible with the case reset boton?

No, it does not have a connection for the case reset button.
