I recently purchased this product to address issues with the second SSD slot on my motherboard, which unfortunately was no longer functional. My goal was to upgrade my SSD to 4TB, and this device proved to be a valuable tool for disk cloning. During the transfer process, I realized that I hadn't backed up essential data, leaving me concerned about potential complications. Despite this oversight, the product demonstrated exceptional reliability, and fortunately, the transfer proceeded without any issues. This converter has been a smart investment for upgrading computers with M.2 devices. It facilitated a smooth transfer of SSD content to a larger drive, and its overall performance has been commendable. Works great but may be a little weak on the usb connector legs. I'm on my second one and this time I soldered the connector down as the last one I had eventually snapped . It really is a great device!

Worked PERFECTLY with both NMVE and SSD M.2 drives. I have used it on a dozen brands and styles of M.2's and they all worked flawlessly. Using it in Windows 10 and 11, I have not used in on Linux or Mac. But in Windows it just appears as a normal USB drive, no drivers, no weirdness. I've cloned boot disks of various types with it that all work perfectly.

Love this little guy. I am a IT pro, and this was added to my bag of tricks. Used it many times, never had an issue. May not be the fastest thing in the world, but I Bill by the hour - so there is that :).

Plugged this in and my microsoft wireless mouse stopped working. Needed to plug in a wired usb mouse. Other than that, it seemed to work. Will stress test it when i clone my drive and see if it has any issues. Some reviewers noted the lack of install instructions. The brass post that is screwed in has a groove which holds the far end of the m2 drive. Unscrew the post, install the drive, then secure it in the post's groove by screwing the post back down. Hope that helps Took off1 star for the lack of instructions and 1 because of the mouse compatibility issues.

Worked perfectly to clone my 256 MB SSD to a terabyte SSD.

Over 250 mbps write speeds with my Samsung 890 Pro M.2. Highly recommend. Used as an external storage solution for my old 1T Samsung M.2. Upgraded to the Black 2T M.2 for my PS5. Now I can use old 1T M.2 like a USB.
