Xit XTVG138 Lithium Replacement Battery for JVC BN-VG138, Everio GZ Series Camcorders (Black)

Bought for a week long vacation and it held up great! Used the stock battery that came with the camera as a backup.Pros:Charges quickly.Lasts for many hours using zoom and changing settings, and reviewing/playing back movies and pics.Only needed to charge every few days.Very inexpensive.Cons:It's big. Almost two times the length of standard battery. A little awkward for my right thumb when pressing record button.Battery wobbles slightly when installed on camera. Never saw an issue while recording on various roller coasters, but it does move a bit. Electrical contacts have great connection as none of my recordings were ever interrupted.

I ordered this product as a replacement for a replacement battery. This one doe snot have a rat tail battery cable that is apart of some of the others you ca order on line. They work well but you can damage them by plugging them in incorrectly. They also get in the way. This battery does not have or require you to plug in the cable on the camera to work or activate the battery. I have not fully tested the time of usage on it yet but it charged up correctly and seems to work as advertised. I only wish I would have ordered 2 isntead of jsut one.

I ordered the Xit XTVG138 because the reviews seemed to indicate that it was a properly "decoded" battery that would show the approximate battery life (my camera doesn't show percentage, only a battery with bars in it that disappear). Instead I was sent the Kastar BN-VG138. This battery can be found listed elsewhere on Amazon. Luckily the battery does appear to work as expected and has a slightly higher charge of 4900 mAh. It's equally huge as the picture shows sticking out of my camera. It is exactly 3x the size of my original batter that was 1400 mAh. I have the GZ-HD620BU camcorder. It took all day to charge, but it works great and it's nice have 4 hours of recording time. Use to I had to carry an extension cord and try to find an outlet to record long events. This solved that issue for a great price. Would definitely recommend.

This is a great battery. Not only does if offer a larger capacity than JVC does, but it's cheaper.The only thing is the camera charging indicator light blinks for much longer that official JVC batteries. It usually takes overnight for the light to stop blinking. The battery does not take nearly that long to fully charge though. Maybe after 4 hours it appears to be full.

A good decision for anyone who uses the JVC camera. Provides extended recording time and eliminates the need to change out the battery for a typical stage production or show. Appears to work as expected. I used it once and it worked fine.

It may well be a good battery, but it is not for the JVC Everio GZ model I own.I ordered two, finding many of the other reviews very encouraging.However, upon arrival, I found it is not compatible with the JVC Everio GZ HM200.

Greatly increased my cameras battery life and even outlasted my camera lol. Great buy. Grab it for the aspiring videographer to continue the projects

So far so good got it him he plugged it into the camcorder and it shows 350 min of charge time, going on vacation soon we'll see how it h holds up

great replacement, you are paying a premium price, but it's a Sony cam, so I guess the quality has to be there too...

Only 1 night with it charged it up and will see how long it lasts. Stock battery was 700mAh this one is 4500mAh so I'm hopeful. It fit well has a little wiggle but nothing big the stock battery had a little also.

Doesn't fit my JVC Everio.
