Perfect for small paintings and cards
I use this paper for small watercolor paintings. I like that I can just pop them in my bag along with a small travel pallette and have a satisfying painting session on-the-go! It's a good quality paper that doesn't produce "lint" with light scrubbing or multiple washes. The pages rip off evenly from the block. You may need to peel a little bit of glue off the edges. I'm a repeat customer of this product. Great value!

Decent paper for watercolor and gouache
This paper performs well with both watercolor and gouache. The colors blend smoothly and the paper does not warp easily. In comparison to Arches, Arches paper is more thirsty and has is a little rougher texture than Fluid 100. I like both papers as each handles the paint just a little differently. In my photo the color swatches on the left are gouache and the ones on the right are watercolor.

Wet on Wet — finish comes off
This is OK for practice of simple exercises but do not expect to do really good paintings with it. The finish comes off and rolls up in little balls if you pre-wet the paper for wet into wet washes. For those having trouble separating the sheets, it’s called a block because it is glued together into a block, which has some practical advantages. To separate a sheet, just insert a palette knife (or even a butter knife will do) into the open end and slowly work down the glued edges until the sheet is free. Update after more experience with this paper: I have changed my rating of this paper from 2 to 4 due to my more recent experience. I previously had problems with the finish because I removed a sheet from the block in order to wet the back as well as the front for the purpose of extending the time available for working wet on wet. It will not take that much moisture as stated above. However, I recently went back and used it as a block is meant to be used, not removing the paper until after the painting was completed and dry. It worked quite well although it dried more quickly than I like. It is not Arches, but you are not the paying the price that is charged for Arches. For the price this is very good paper.

Favorite watercolor paper
I love how this paper handles the water. Nice weight and absorbency. I do lots of wet on wet and I’m so impressed at how moist the paper stays while applying layers of paint. 100% cotton. I have several other high quality brands, but this one has become my favorite.

Really nice paper, great price point. I got this to make watercolor ornaments. Very thick. Loved it!

Very hard to separate, nice paper.
Edit: So far I have torn 2 sheets even though I am trying to be very careful when removing a sheet. What is the secret to separating this paper? I am dropping a star this is ridiculous. I like the paper.( not so much now) I thought I would like the paper being in a block until I tried to separate it. I must not have read the reviews for this paper. I bought another size of the same type that was not block bound. I read those reviews. I was being very careful (yes the paper was dry) but in one spot I torn the paper, not much but it is noticeable. I then used something thinner (a postcard) between the next sheets to ever so slowly remove one side of it. That worked, so I am going to keep the rest of the paper now that I know how to separate it. Just be very, very careful when you remove each sheet.

Lovely Block
This was my first time trying out this brand and I was very surprise. The block said cold press but the block as a smooth finish similar to hot press so I was very pleased with it. I love how easy it is to paint and sketch on the block!
