Do these need to be wet if using for artificial flowers?

Hi! Good question. I missed reading the part about "wetting the foam"-I purchased these specifically for use with artificial flowers, I wanted dry foam to arrange them. However, according to the onsite directions: "These round floral foam can be used for artificial silk flower directly, after absorbing water, also can make fresh flowers hold moisture." I am guessing maybe because wetting the foam will hold them better once the foam dries?- Maybe, this question should be asked to the seller for best results. I haven't had the time to use the foam blocks yet and may just try one, and wet it slightly stick a flower in it and see what happens. The vases I want to use one is metal, and not made for water to sit in them, and I will use the all dry foam for most, and if needed will add tissue or something for extra padding; vases a lot more expensive than the foam:) I believe if you click on seller, you can send questions directly to them-at least used to be that way.
