Item came on time. Don't mean to sound arrogant, but I'm pretty handy and should have just saved the $30 and made a mount myself, but sometimes, it's just easier to spend the money and let someone else figure it out.Having said this, it is well put together and works. The ball type head is plasticky , but a heavy duty, durable, metal head isn't needed since its set in place permanently and shouldn't really be touched after.I read the instructions, but the sequence it suggests wouldn't work for me since I needed my projector to be hung in a very specific spot, so I needed to know more specifically how much clearence I needed. I mounted the bracket onto the projector as the 1st thing in order to determine where the mounting screws needed to be.I'm giving it 4 stars cause it should have cost a little less.

I have used three of these mounts because they make lining up my projectors easy. I am not sure if they just started to include a second size of white plastic spacers, but that really helps. Be sure to test the screws in the projector to see how deep they screw in. This will help determine which spacers will be needed. If only one size of spacers come with your kit, you may have to shorten them so that enough of the screw goes into the projector. I have tried three other mounts for my GT1080 series projectors, this is the best by far. I highly recommend this product!

I chose this ceiling mount for my HD26. It fits perfectly. I wanted a mount that hung as close to the ceiling as possible (some hang 6+ inches below the ceiling, no thank you). This mount only hangs 4 inches below the ceiling. (It's simple to install, but you'll need a drill and screwdriver.)The packaging comes with two toggle bolts if you're installing it in just drywall, so you don't have to worry about placement or needing a stud finder. I mounted my projector to the ceiling without any studs and it works just fine. There's full range of motion and it's secure. I would recommend.

I have installed this in 2 different apartments. Mounts well, holds the projector sturdy.The only knock, is if you have large hands, it may be difficult to tighten the locking ring.using it with an Optoma GT1080

Yeah, it was a bit of a trick to get it adjusted perfectly like some of the other reviews have stated. But, the one I got, the ball fit in the socket just perfect and so when I locked it down it did stay where I put it. Comes with 3/4" standoffs to put between the projector and the plate for ventilation and it also included 2 toggle bolts which was a pleasant surprise. Other than that, not much to say except I'd buy it again if I even need another.

Fits the Optoma GT1080 projector well but adjusting can be very difficult. The off balance weight with the loose base connection makes it a bit more difficult to center the projector to the screen. Well built though!

The Ball Joint is useless. The mount is fine and the ceiling anchors are strong but the ball joint doesn't hold. Yes I was careful not to over tighten when I first put it up but at no point did it not sit loose in the socket. I put on about 8 layers of electrical tape over the ball and it is almost working. I am going to try and find some gaphers tape to go over the top as it has a rough surface and may hold better.

Lousy instructions but simple install so it balances out. Holds the projector firmly in place which is all I was looking for, :)
