Q: unstretched length is 80 inches; stretched length is: 180 inches ?

I don't really understand but 5 yards is 15 feet and 15 feet is 180 inches. The description never says anything about stretched or unstretched. If you have ever had blood drawn, you will have had this product and watched its use. One does NOT want to stretch the 5 yards out, then it's ruined. You take a portion out and wrap. It stretches as you wrap but do not wrap too tight as it will cut off circulation. Have you ever used an ACE wrap? Same thing but different, better material.

Q: Will this hold a gauze pad well on a thigh injury and not slip down?

I have not used it on a thigh, only on my arm. It worked well. You will have to wrap it around. Depending on how big the area is you may want to get wider tape if available, or wrap it around more times. This is meant to stick to itself so make sure you unwrap enough of it to go around because it is hard to pull it away from the roll. I am highly allergic to adhesive so would not be without this.

Q: I plan to wrap around my wrist for support. How many times can the wrap be re-used?

I don't know the answer, but they do lose some of their self adhesive quality after being used. They also stretch a bit. You might be able to re-use them by tying them off somehow (mayle leave a long end, split it down the middle, and tie around your wrist). But I'm not sure and you probably should ask a medical professional or the manufacturer. We use them for first aid for outdoor activities to hold bandages in place, so we don't reuse them.

Q: I this 2 inches x 15 yards unstretched?

The description states: 2 Inches X 5 Yards. NOT 15 yards. If it were 15 yards unstretched, the roll would be too difficult to handle as it would be just shy of 2 inches in bulk. I took 7 inches off the roll and it stretched to 13 inches. As you witness via mp3
