These little mints have become a perfect addition to the daily tarter control program I’ve established for my miniature schnauzer. A three step daily routine that begins with her first morning bowl of water having one capful of Arm and Hammer water additive in it, and brushing her teeth with Arm and Hammer tarter control toothpaste in the evening. During the day, she gets a couple of these tarter control “treats “. The results of this daily routine have been nothing short of remarkable! Amy has just turned 2 years old, and her teeth were showing the beginning of tartar building up on her teeth next to her gum line. After only a few weeks of following this daily routine, her teeth are perfectly white with not a trace of tartar. An added bonus is that the Arm and Hammer line of canine dental products isn’t nearly as expensive as the majority of tartar control products on the market. My dog hasn’t had any digestive issues from these Arm and Hammer products and seems to like the flavor of the toothpaste and mints. I like that I’m not feeding her a tartar control “chew” every day, that adds calories to her diet, and may not agree with her digestion. I’ll be sticking with the 3 part routine I’ve described, keeping Amy’s teeth healthy and free from tartar, throughout what I’m hoping will be a long and healthy life for my miniature schnauzer. Update: I’ve been reading some reviews that say these tartar control mints are too small to scrape any tartar formation off their dogs teeth. These little mints aren’t meant to scrape anything off your dog’s teeth. They are meant to be an easy way to get the enzymatic ingredients into your dogs mouth. Bathing the dogs teeth in the enzymes that are meant to remove tartar buildup on all of your dogs teeth. I make giving my miniature schnauzer one of these mints every night, just before she curls up on my bed to sleep, part of our nightly routine That way, her teeth are covered by the tartar removing enzymes until she drinks her first bowl of water the next morning. A bowl of water that contains one capful of Arm and Hammer water additive for tartar control, continuing her tartar control routine.

My lab’s breath use to horrible. I started giving him these everyday. I can’t say his breath smells good like mint or something. But it smells like nothing! I will take that over what it was smelling like any day. Huge improvement. Plus I have no problem giving it to him. I give it in the morning with the rest of his vitamins. He thinks he gets treats every morning!

Helps with their breath

The packaging is cute, just like a little tin of mints! The only issue I ran into was that my dogs refuse to eat them (I guess they smell weird? Idk) I'll probably end up hiding one or two in their food and see if that changes anything but avoid buying if you have somewhat picky eaters for dogs!

My dog has had bad breath for as long as I can remember and I thought there was nothing I could do to fix it even the slightest bit until I seen these and gave them a shot. Now they don’t completely eliminate the bad breath, well at least for my dog since her breath smells like 10 cans of bounce that azz and sardines but I gave her 3-4 and believe it or not her breath smelled fresher! If your dog has bad breath even the slightest get these they actually work idk how but they do!!

So I’m not sure why a big dog is advertised in the packaging since these are literally like breath mints and literally can’t do the job. A tiny treat like this won’t get any tartar or plaque off of any dogs teeth really. I tried these with my chihuahua and American staffie and they did not work at all. Dogs with tartar and plaque need something like a water additive, enzymic toothpaste, and/or medium-large sized dental CHEWS that actually penetrates the teeth and gums. This is like candy and definitely WONT get any tartar off a big dogs tooth especially. My CHIHUAHUA only needs to bite once on this treat before swallowing which isn’t enough gum/tooth penetration. I fell for the cheap and quantity combo this product offered but sadly after doing my research it makes sense how these wouldn’t have worked. Steer clear of these unless u want an on the go breath mint for ur dog but honestly I think permanent solutions are the way to go.

I’ve used these dental mints for my dog’s for many years. The mints are small bone shapes and their size is very deceptive for the good effect it has on reducing bad breath. I have a large Labrador and give him 6 in any one day which is ample to take away that doggy breath. Can’t rate the flavour as I don’t eat them but my dog scoffs them without any issues. I’ve found these mints are getting harder to find in stores or online so was delighted to see that Amazon appears to still keep them stocked.

My dog really likes these treats and they do make her breath much better. (Her breath was so bad it made everyone feel ill. I tried water additives and then she wouldn’t drink water. I took her to the vet and had her teeth cleaned - expensive and only lasted a couple days. These actually work and she thinks they are a treat) Problem solved!

My dog just swallow the mints like a candy, they are tiny and many broken pieces, really don't think it helps in reducing tartar/plaque
