Easy to use, very quick switch over between PC's
I use this for my dual-monitor home/work setup with another KVM--found it was much cheaper to have 2 KVM's than a single that switches dual monitors. I have this one only switching the second display, no Keyboard or Mouse as that's handled by the other switch but I've found that it switches very fast and the video is visible within 2-3secs. I especially like the extra button instead of the usual hot-key sniffer of other brands. In summary, I use another KVM I already had to switch the main display and keyboard/mouse and this switch only for the second display--I need to hit two buttons to switch between PC's the it's worth the money saved.

Incredible price and simple solution
Well, dual DVI would have been nice but! This incredibly priced solution to switching back and forth is great. I used to have a competitors model with audio/record cables but that was a bust - often no sound and delays in video switching. I do not have this problem with this Rosewill model as fewer features mean less failure and disappointment. I switch between an old pc running linux and an older one running Windows 7. The video is great and I do not experience significant lags between switching. Great solution.

Overall Awesome, But The Button is the Weak Link
I REALLY wanted to give this 5 stars. The darn button lost it 2 stars, but the price got it one back.Overall works very well. No artifacts or blur in the image, fast switching, no issues in general functionality. The price is amazing. I love it.It's a major improvement over the old beige switches.I did run into a snag with my Linux machine. It seems to be detected as a 1024x768 display. Some xrandr tweaking got that fixed. No issues with Windows 10, works great right out of the box.The real weak link here is the button. It's a typical cheap micro momentary button, in a very cheap plastic housing connected with very cheap wire to the box. It's really a shame to have such a crap button on an otherwise very nice piece of kit. After less than a day of use it stopped working. Luckily it's so cheap it comes apart with very little persuasion, where I found that the wire had come loose from the button. It was fixed in under a minute with the soldering iron. Not a huge deal, but not everyone has a soldering iron handy to fix such nonsense. I'd like to see Rosewill beef up the button a little bit and this would be a 5 star product.I'd still recommend it heartily to my friends [with soldering irons].

Rosewill always makes amazing products. When I needed a KVM for my desk at work I was very happy to see this Rosewill on Amazon. Right out of the package it was sturdy and professional looking, we have all seen other KVM's not up to par. Anyway I my situation I need some backward compatible because I use an old thin client for my workstation. Works like a charm. The nifty button control gives you a false sense of power and nostalgia ate your finger tips. It feels sturdy, and has a padded bottom. It will stay put anywhere on your desk with out having to do any kind of mounting. Switch is smooth and just about instantaneous. This solved a problem that was a thorn in my side for a lone time.

I have been having a few issues with this but when it is working it works great! I don't know if it's my laptops or if it's the connection but I will keep trying to play with it to get it right. For the $ it is worth the try, that is forsure.

Need a simple KVM for 2 computers? This is a great choice.
Hopefully I will save someone some time. I spent way too much time researching options. The only issue I had was some of the cables not reaching-- a simple shift of some of my hardware resolved this. Beyond that I had this installed in a matter of minutes and it has worked perfectly. I like the extra room --and less clutter -- that I have now on my desk thanks to this. The display looks great for VGA, and I am still able to view multiple monitors for the one computer I have hooked up that way. This product arrived quickly and was well-packaged. Highly recommended.

Exactly what I needed. Wanted to shared keyboard and mouse between two desktops and this does the job. It replaces a well used PS2 KVM that is showing it's age due to the change from PS2 connections to USB on most newer PCs.There is a slight delay when switching due to Windows but we are talking a second or so. If you have a setup where that is a problem I suggest you pay three times as much for one of the bigger brand names. Me, I can spare the second or two!It has been a few weeks and I am still adjusting to using the separate switch instead of the keyboard but in the long run it makes little difference to me. In fact, I can see some advantage to the separate switch as my prior KVM would occasionally get lost and not respond to the keyboard requiring a reach back behind everything to press the manual switch on the box.Bottom line: Works well for switching keyboard and mouse between two Windows PCs. (Use dedicated monitors so no need to switch those.)
