Espoma AP8 8-Quart Organic Potting Mix (1, Twо Pаck)

I used this soil for some succulents with pumice 5 days ago and then sealed the bag because I didn't have time to do the rest of my plants. Today I opened up the bag to find it swarming with fungus gnats! I threw the bag away and decided to open up the second bag. Unsure i thoroughly moved the soil around to look for gnats, it wasnt infested with them but i did find one. I decided not to use it and wait and see what happens. My succulents from five days ago have not shown any sign of gnats though, so im not sure what is going on. I'm really discouraged about this product now and dont know what else to buy since this was the one i saw recommend by many. Does anyone know why this happened and what is another good organic soil product i could buy?

Both bags were infested with gnats. I tried treating the soil but there were too many eggs. They just kept coming back. I’ve never otherwise had a gnat problem and I do not recommend buying.

This is a must for all of your plants that you really care about. Flowering or Container. Highly Recommended !

Do not buy this soil! I'm not sure why there are so many good reviews, which makes me suspicious of this seller. The soil arrived fine, but within a few hours the box was swarming with gnats. It was absolutely disgusting! Buy the soil in person, or at least from someone that is properly storing the soil.

Excellent organic potting mix that suits my gardening needs. Shipping was super fast, plus the bags of mix were carefully packed. No spillage!

it was not full of tree bark like some mixes.
