The plush life ❤️
If you pamper your finches then these nests are for you! I fill them full of cotton fluff from Amazon and then run one bread twist tie through the back and another through the top loop and attach both to my cage to secure. When I first brought home my finches, they slept on the perch the first few nights as they didn’t know what they were missing. Now, you can’t get them out…lol. They take naps in them, they sleep in them, they enjoy burrowing in and peeking out. They sit on the top and enjoy the view. They are pretty happy and it gives them a place to feel safe in. These are very sturdy and have plenty of room for them to sit, or sleep or move around in. Top three off with plenty of fluff and they are living their best life!

Not really for hummers but the small birds love it!
If you do your reading, you'll find that these are far too large for hummingbirds. However, they are super cute and well made. I placed them around. Secured 2 to a small tree with zip ties and hung one with my hanging basket on my porch. Lots of birds took interest and a Carolina Wren decided it was the perfect spot for her to hatch some babies. She added her own materials of course but it has provided a fabulous spot for hatching. If you're thinking about it, just do it. I have loved watching this unfold!

Cute but birds won't use it
They are well made and look nice. Months later, still empty. Might be too big for small birds

beautiful bird homes
This was a gift for my mom for the hummingbird that lives in front of our home. She put it up right away, we still have yet to see him go in but it is so cute & would be big enough if a hummingbird family decided to stay in there.

Hummingbirds are not using it
I was excited when the three arrived and immediately placed one on a branch near where the "main" hummingbird stands guard. He's the bully that chases off other hummingbirds when he catches them stealing from his feeder. So, I know there is a lot of hummingbird activity in my backyard. He's expressed some curiosity in the new house, but it's been almost a month. I sit in my home office where I have a clear view of the house, and I haven't seen any hummingbird go inside or even land on it, yet.One thing I'm not too sure about is how it swings in the wind, even a light breeze and it swings a good 30 degrees. Maybe they don't like that, and I might need to anchor it somehow. It did however remain on the branch after some pretty high winds, recently. It's so lightweight it doesn't cause a lot of stress on the branch.I'm giving 3 stars for now because I'm not sure about the placement or the time of year. Maybe I have to wait till they nest in the spring, and it's too much out in the open. I'll change my review once I see any activity. I'd even be happy if some of the tiny non-hummingbirds would use it. There are some small ones that would easily fit, but even they just peck at it.I'm afraid it will just be used for parts to build real nests, sometime next year - which I guess is okay, too, as long as it gets used for something.

Bought it for our local native birds roosting pocket
I bought this for our local native birds roosting / shelter pockets since we do not have any cover for them to take immediate shelter from the preys or big evergreen tree in our yard.I pleaced these on the house eaves that way protected from winds or rain / snow where most less human activity etc... pair of carolina wren use them so far.We have ruby's during the season they will not nest or even look at these since they make their own nest the construction of nest is in their DNA.Major push to purchase this product was a support our local wildlife due to the major road construction they destroyed huge meadow full of goldenrods and aster sunflowers lobelia etc..... all was gone in just a few days turned into a concrete it was huge support for locals and migratory birds that was shocking to see the changing.... we decided to offer our yard I know they helped us a lot by taking down the massive insects infestation this summer our garden and fruit trees and around the house without them we did not have a harvest.I hope this writing helps others out there.

The hummers liked them
Two of the three were nested in this the first year. I may have had the third to close to the trees main trunk. I think the hummers prefer to be out on smaller branches as added security.
