P9935A (4-Pack) 15 3/8 inch Porcelain Steel Heat Plate and Heat Shield for Ducane Affinity 3073101, 3000, 3100, 3200, 3300, 3400, 4100, 4200, 4400

My old heat shields were falling apart. Ordered these new ones. Completely did a grill deep clean. When installing them I noticed that the angle of the shield where it rests in the tabs was not the same angle. They rocked from side to side a little. As long as you don't move the grill they stay in place. I'm afraid to try and bend them tighter because I don't want to crack the porcelain coating and have the metal exposed then deteriorate faster. Over all, not much to choose from for an older grill. Would still by again if needed.

The powder coating on these seems to be excellent quality. They installed quite easily, but the angle is overly wide for my Ducane Affinity grill, causing them to rock and clang. I bent them back to the correct angle, but in doing so, it caused the ceramic coating to crack on the angle, so there's a good chance they will rust out now. So basically, you can live with the clanging or replace them every couple years when they rust out.

Overall a good product. I just ordered a 2nd set. The first set lasted 2 years and 3 months. Your experience might be different depending upon how much you use it and how hot your grill gets. Other environmental factors will also affect the lifespan. I had no issues with the fit.Based on my research of reviews, even the expensive replacement heat shields will not last much longer than two years. I will just plan on spending $20 every two years to keep everything working good.

An inexpensive easy-to-install replacement heat shield set for my Ducane 4200 grill. As mentioned in other comments they fit however don't ceet as well as the originals so keep an eye on them, especially if you move your grill.

I was a little concerned because the Ducane grills are no longer made. Don't be afraid of these shields. They are an exact fit and work perfectly.

Replaced grill plates on a Ducane that's seen a lot of use - seem to be solid and match the OEM design. What's not to like so far.
