While I didn't put as much thought into the extraction plan it as I could have, my options within a one day timeframe were either this inexpensive chisel, or spending a bunch on one of those oscillating multitools to saw through the bolt. Brick and mortar stores in my area didn't have single cold chisels for sale, and the sets they did have generally started at a 3/8" size, and were generally more expensive. So either way, I'd be buying the wrong tool for the job, and spending more than I would like. This single 1/4" chisel got here in under a day, and even with rush shipping still cost less than the improperly sized alternative that I could find at a store, it still may have been the wrong tool for the job, but at least it was inexpensive and available quickly. I hammered on this with a 4lb blacksmith's cross pein hammer, and while the striking end flattened out a bit, the cutting edge is still intact and quite sharp. For the money you pay this chisel will get you through at least the one job you need it to do in the moment.
