I had ordered this since I started to face scalp acne and it has 3% salicylic acid. It really works, no strong fragrance and leaves your hair soft.

I struggled about having zits on my scalp for years, and I was told that Salicylic acid helped, and it DID a magic. However T/Sal was too expensive, and I found this product which is cheaper, and to me, it smell even better. I have been using this product for years, and I'm totally happy about it. One small concern is that the label states about skin cancer after using this product and exposing the skin under the sun. I do not know how "higher risk" it can be.

Okay! So I've used Selsun Blue's products in the past because I have super bad dandruff or whatever... I didn't like the way they smelt and I also didn't like how they would DRYYY my hair out. BRO WHEN I APPLIED THIS IT WAS AMAZING!! First of all, I noticed that it SMELLED SO GOOD! I was gonna avoid buying and try another brand because I didn't rlly like Selsun Blue's smell, but this shampoo smelled so good and yummy! The shampoo is clear which is really different from what I'm used to when it comes to this brand (the shampoo is usually blue or green). The lather is AMAZING and it makes my hair SOOO SOFT AND MOISTURIZED! Mind u... I've used Selsun Blue's "moisturizing" shampoo and that wasn't even moisturizing but THIS WAS!! Totally my forever shampoo, I love it <33 I'm gonna keep buying it forever LOL It's so worth the money!

I kind of wish Selsun Blue would drop the "dry itchy scalp" branding, because this is not a shampoo for a dry scalp. This is a shampoo for intense oil and buildup. A combination of genetics and prescriptions that I take make my skin/hair extremely oily. This is the only shampoo I've found that really gets rid of the plaques of greasy dead scalp skin and completely breaks down the oil on my scalp and stops the redness and itching. It doesn't make my hair feel dry or tangled after using. I use an intense moisturizer conditioner afterward and I don't feel that I need to use a leave-in conditioner, hair oil, or other products to moisturize my hair. I don't bleach or style my hair with heat though, so YMMV. It smells a little different now that they've changed the formula, and I don't know if I like the new formula as much overall, but it's still the best and the most affordable. I miss the transparent blue bottle.

Felt like it was stripping my hair and actually made my scalp more dry and itchy. My hair felt like straw after the first wash. The shampoo does smell nice and fresh. I have used it now a few times and unfortunately it doesnt work with my skin/ hair.
