desertcart.com : Ka'u Coffee Mill Natural Dark Roast Whole Bean Coffee - Fruit, Spice, Cocoa & Molasses Notes - Handpicked & Naturally Processed Hawaii Grown Arabica Beans - Gourmet Premium Small Batch - 16oz : Grocery & Gourmet Food Review: Taste great - I had become somewhat of a coffee snob the past several years and was looking for something different. Although I have purchased Kopi Luwak in the past, I tried to minimized (to a degree) how much I wanted to spend on a pound of coffee, usually $20-$25/lb. I thought I would finally splurge and try a Kona coffee, but came across this. I did a little(or a lot) research and hearing that Ku'a has beaten Kona coffee in a taste test and that it's "just as good" without the name recognition, I thought I would give it a go. Using a French press, I made a .5L and wow! this is some great tasting coffee. Highly impressed. Best coffee I have had in years, or ever. I was a little concerned about buying on desertcart, with when it was roasted, how long it has been sitting, but it was roasted 2 months ago, and it should be good for 3 months and this coffee will surely be gone by then, if not the end of the week. Review: Great Coffee - I discovered the Kau Coffee Plantation on a visit to the Big Island last year. Been drinking this coffee exclusively ever since. I tried ordering from desertcart, as it was a few dollars cheaper, but the quality was clearly inferior. The beans ordered directly from Kau were observably fresher; They had a nice oily sheen, while the ones ordered from desertcart did not.

Taste great

Not a strong flavored coffee
The coffee didn't have a strong flavor that I was expecting from a Hawaiian coffee. I was hoping for a good strong coffee, but was disappointed.

Expensive but Not Overrated
Yummy. Very complex for such a dark roast coffee. Smooth when brewed stong. Itโs pricey but excellent.

Very dark, too dark for me
The Kau terroir is interesting and different from Kona. Unfortunately this roast is just waaaaay too dark for me. I might try a lighter roast to see the real flavor, not just "dark."

A fantastic single origin coffee
A very good coffee. Much better than most Hawaiian coffee. Excellent!

Thought I ordered I pound novour it was 8 oz.
Surprised that I only received 8Oz. That made this coffee $42 a pound! It has a odd flavor. Not nearly as tasty as the Kona beans We usually by at Fresh market. They were out for a couple of weeks so I ordered this brand. Do not buy!

Got it for a friend
They said it was aromatic but not too bold in flavor. If comparing to blue mountain, it is less bitter and smoother, but just a tad more humble. They enjoyed it alot with a mocha creamer
