Great sweatshirt! I chose a men's because I wanted it to be oversized and it's great. The color is awesome!

Despite the title, there's no way this qualifies as heavyweight compared to an average sweatshirt just a few years ago. It's on the lighter end of mid weight! Disappointed in Hanes for misleading consumers. On the other hand, it meets all other expectations at a good price. It's 90% cotton, breathable and comfortable. No issues with stitching/quality in the light blue sweatshirt I bought. Made in Guatemala not China - for me, that's another plus.I'm a 5'7" woman, 150 lbs. For a relaxed fit, went with size small and it fits well. Would recommend sizing up if you prefer oversized. Most styles sold for women don't have a high cotton content (unless you pay a small fortune for it) and tend to be thinner. This shirt is cut wider in the arms and shoulders - obviously better suited for the average male anatomy. But it's not so extreme that it looks bad. If Hanes offered more light colors in this line, other than white or gray, I'd definitely buy another.

Don't trust Amazon's description of the cotton content. If you set your expectation that it will be 50% cotton, then you will be happy. You might actually get 65% cotton. Out of five I ordered, only one was 85% cotton.

Had to return as it was far too big. Aside from the fit, quality seemed fine for the price. Return policy excellent so overall a positive experience.

I am a female that wanted a nice roomy sweatshirt so I ordered a men's size small. The fabric was a bit "stiff" but the fit was nice and very loose. That was until I washed it. After the first washing the sweatshirt is now child sized in length. Not impressed.

Fits well, only worn once as if yet.

When I first tried it on I thought it was a bit on the big side, after the first wash it shrunk about three sizes
