Absolutely great item with only one deficiency, easily corrected
Greetings - I bought this safe for my daughter while away in college for important papers and for her laptop for when she is not carrying it. This item assembles easily and seems very sturdy. After assembly, I cleaned it out with 409 and a wipe to get all the normal manufacturing and shipping dust from it. This safe is pleasantly much larger than I originally thought but does meet the dimensional specs (I didn't pay too close attention to these at first). It rolls nicely and the lock and top are pretty secure. My daughter even likes it so there will be a chance that it will get used while in school. The only negative, and it is a very small one, is that the carabiner method to lock the two cable ends inside the safe is not secure. The holes that the cable pass through in the bottom are large enough that one could get a finger inside and manipulate the carabiner open and slide the cable off. If the holes were much smaller, this would not be an issue, but then one might not be able to get a couple of power cables inside for charging a cell phone and/or laptop. My solution was to simply use a small key lock instead of the carabiner to lock the two cables together. The key to the key lock could simply be taped to the inside of the safe out of reach.Having said that, we used an alternate locking mechanism versus looping the provided cable through something secure. We felt that it might be nice to have a longer reach cable setup, so we simply looped one end of the cable through the bed frame in her room, passing the entire length of the cable through that end loop, then locked the other end of the cable to the two holes in the bottom of the safe. The lock flops easily outside of the safe but I don't see this as an issue. If anyone truly wants the contents of the safe, they could cut the cable and carry the safe away. So, I'd give this item a 99/100. It is simple, as secure as any cable holding it, and provides plenty of interior storage for papers and valuable items. Just use a lock instead of the carabiner and it should be fine.

good size and well made
This is quite a sturdy and well made large plastic lock-box with ample useable space inside. The wheels allow it to roll easily so it won't scratch your (hardwood) floors. I like the height; it fits under my sofa. Being plastic, it won't deter a determined thief with power tools, but for locking stuff away from the kids, it does the job well. It's an affordable way to keep meds or whatever tucked safely away. At this price, every parent should have one. This would also work well in a dorm or roommate situation as a braided steel security wire is included and would make it difficult to walk away with the box. The wire is sufficiently thick to not be easily snipped with common pliers, although bolt cutters would certainly cleave it. Of course, a power saw could cut the plastic box, but I think the strength of the line is comparable to that of the box it's connected to -- certainly sufficient to thwart nosey roommates or to lock-up your laptop during a party.

This safe worked out perfect for my needs
This safe worked out perfect for my needs. The wheels were a bit tricky to get on (and could be a nicer color), it helps to have someone to help you put them on, but once they are on they roll perfectly. The lock is secure and comes with a ‘real’ set of keys, unlike those chintzy keys that may come with a jewelry box or the like. The lock and keys are just like those on a common SentrySafe lockbox that many people are familiar with. I find the entire thing very sturdy and secure. I liked it so much that I bought a second one. What I found very handy is the tether (cable) that comes with the safe to secure it around a permanent fixture to keep someone from removing it. There are two holes in the bottom of it to feed the tether through and I used one of the holes to feed an extension cord through it as well as the tether. I am a gadget geek and I use it to store some of my electronic gadgets in it. The extension cord allows me to charge my gadgets while keeping them safely locked up. One could easily store a laptop in it while charging it at the same time. However, since laptops can get warm easily, I wouldn’t recommend doing that unless it is in an air-conditioned room. The only problem with the tether setup is that it comes with a carabiner to attach the two ends inside of the safe. The holes underneath are big enough for someone to pull that out and release the tether, if they knew it was possible. You may want to purchase a padlock, if you don’t already have one, to go with this if the tethering function is important to you. I highly recommend this product.

Reasonable security, High convenience, Low cost for college use
We needed a way to secure personal items in a college dormitory. Space is tight. You need some security, but the dorm is already fairly protected from the outside world. A professional safe would be heavy, expensive, and impractical. This item has been perfect for us. With a low profile and wheels, it seems designed precisely to roll under a bed, which is one of the few places with extra space in a dorm room. The locking cable loops around the bed frame, again a really logical way of securing something in a temporary living space like this. There is easily enough space inside to store a laptop, other small electronics, and diverse personal items -- basically, just about as much stuff as a college student would ever need to secure. The lid, lock and structure are strong enough to withstand a fair amount of force, more than any smash-and-grab thief would ever apply. We ordered a spare set of keys from the manufacturer, great service there. The locker has held up to modest use over three months so far, so it seems durable enough. For the price, we can't think of a better choice. Highly recommend!

Functions as intended
Product can fit discretely under one’s bed. As extra functional storage for pillow cases, bed sheets and extra clothes.I would note that the container isn’t a complete seal as it has holes located in the top half for use of the dragging cable.Design suggestions. Seal those two holes and instead mold an indentation with a clasp for the dragging wire to attach to.
