Make sure you watch the youtube video, because there is a hidden bolt that you need to contort to get to. Once you get that, then the rest of the process of install is easy. This will fix hard starts and buzzing under the dash issues. I have a 2004 Honda Accord coupe.

Worked on my 2008 Honda CRV

This part worked well to replace the original. I was getting a "buzzing" sound when turning the ignition key. This can progress until you aren't able to start the car (Honda 2003 Element). So I figured I better remove and replace the original before that happened. You can do it with just a few different sizes of phillips head screwdrivers, and something (once the three lower screws are removed) to pry apart the upper and lower plastic covers behind the steering wheel. Be careful, as you can break the plastic clips that are on the lower cover (shaped like hollow squares). As to the two screws that hold this part in place, one is on the back corner, so look at the new part to see the only obvious place a screw can be used (there is a hole the screw passes through). Time: figure about 45 minutes. Take your time.

The media could not be loaded.  Our 2006 Honda Element has been making a "buzzing" sound sporadically and when it does that it fails to start. The dealership did one of their 562 point BS inspections and $300+ later had failed to actually fix the problem...It took me less time to Google the issue than it did for me to get the steering wheel cover off.Steps:1) Remove steering wheel cover (three Philips screws in a triangle on the underside) - You will need to gently unsnap the two halves and wiggle them apart*The part to be replaced was on the left side of the steering column for me.2) Un-plug existing part (can be seen as brown plug in video from key side of the steering wheel)3) Un-screw existing part (two Philips screws - one I needed a stubby screw driver, the other is back underneath and I had to undo a zip-tie to move some cabling to get at it)4) Pull off existing part, drop in replacement part5) Screw it in with the two screws you removed (re-do zip-tie)6) Plug it in with the plug you removed7) Put the steering wheel cover back on and snap the two halves together before screwing it back inIt was a relatively straight forward part-for-part replacement, it fit like a charm and I am super pleased that the buzzing issue has been resolved. Thank you!

This was for 2009 Honda Odyssey with 98k miles, problem was intermitted starts (no crank). Already replaced the transmission range switch which causing the same issue a year ago and starter cut relay.I took the switch apart and you can see the buildup of contamination, these switches come with a grease on the contacts but the switch is not sealed so over time and multiple starts these contacts will get dirty and carbonized. You could clean it but its not worth it for how inexpensive these are.One tip: before removing the bottom steering column, turn the wheel upside down, it made it so much easier to remove the column, I saw that recommendation from someone and it was a huge time saver.

Seemed to be oem honda part, installation ok. Firstoem part 172k, aftermarket 50k, this one starts at 222k, time will tell?

Had starter “buzz” before installing this solved it and was very easy to install. Took about 30 minutes.

Took about 20 minutes to change out and worked fine afterwards
