desertcart.com: Key Weirder: 9780976063018: Robert Tacoma: Books Review: Another Key hit - It was with no lack of enthusiasm that I picked up the latest Key book. Having no time to read, I thought that it would make a great topper for my ever-growing stack of books and that I'd get to it sooner than later sitting there being all blue and teasing. I read it immediately. After all, Tacoma is one of my favorite authors, and once again he didn't disappoint. Dali is back in town, and trying to help his friends. There is trouble afoot at the marina, an orphanage which needs his help and a mysterious woman in knee socks to track down. Key Dali is every bit as fun as Tacoma's other books. There is just the right mix of comedy, intrigue, and fishing, and a fantastic cast of characters to pull it all off. A great, fast read. Review: The adventures of Taco Bob - A fun series - I enjoyed the many interesting characters and their individual stories. I've never been to Key West but thinking it might be a little too crazy for me!

Good fast read
Not as good as the first few. But still enjoyed it. I have told friend and a few are going to read the Key Werid books. Not the best book but good.

Crazy cool books I'm looking for the rest of his work.

Kinda
Kinda funny, kinda good, kinda dumb... Too far fetched for my liking. Good toilet reading tho. Tacoma has done better...

Fun read
More wacky adventure by Taco Bob and the gang. A few more wackos were thrown in the mix just to keep things interesting. Robert Tacoma is fast becoming another of my favorite authors.

Robert Tacoma books
I like these light adventures - no message, no gore. Robert Tacoma knows his South Florida fiction, so you will find references to Hiassen's ex Gov. Skink or maybe a description of Doc Ford's hangout. These novels are not as dark as Randy Wayne White's work, nor as wild and crazy as that of Tim Dorsey, but they are in that league. Personally, I prefer the Key ones to those set in South Texas. Here is my attempt to list them chronologically, which is probably the best order to read the Key ones. Robert Tacoma (various protagonists) Key Weird. 2005. 4.0 Key Weirder 2005 4.3 Color Me Weird 2007 4.3 no, it really is a coloring book, with a story Key Witch 2008 4.3 Key Lucky 2008 4.0 Possum Surprise 2009 3.3 S Texas small town, duller. Early MS dusted off? Key Manatee 2010 4.0 Sheriff Skunk 2010 5.0 S Texas small town Key Dali 2011 4.0 1st person Dali, Key West street artist, w usual cast

Phase Two
I accidentally re-purchased Key Wierd again, forgetting that I had already read it. It was the first Robert Tacoma book I read. I re-read it, since I bought both Wierd and Wierder at the same time. Both were pretty shallow, but Wierder seems like Mr. Tacoma was just trying to kick out a book as fast as easily as he could. Not much to recommend, unless you want to see how Wierd ends up.
