This seems to be a sturdy and well made wood and metal gate. It comes with 2 stabilizers. One reviewer mentioned needing to put together the gate, so I wanted to clarify that the only thing you need to attach is 2 latches to hold the gate closed, and this involves just 4 screws. The package arrived with a label that said 44 lbs so initially I considered returning it because I thought it would be too hard to move around or that it would be a danger with the weight and may fall and cause injury. I’m glad I decided to proceed with opening the package to investigate. I’ll be keeping it. I think the gate is very stable and I actually don’t find the gate hard to move around at all even though it was difficult to move while still inside the box. And I’m a small 5’ female. I love the flexibility of being able to gate off a section of the house or enclosing it to make a small area akin to a kennel. I have dogs up to 15 lbs and I think this gate is perfect.

Love this gate. So much that I had to write a review. It’s Beautiful, very well made, sturdy from panel to panel, tall enough that my dogs don’t jump it but low enough I can step over to get through the living room without moving a single panel. It’s wide enough for my entry way, to keep 2 large Pitts in. The feet supporters, they fit snug with a piece rubber preventing scratched wood panels. I’d give 10 stars. 😍

This comes assembled and exceptional well packaged. All you have to do is manhandle the heavy thing inside, unpack it and stand it up. It came with feet but I have it in a zigzag pattern covering a wide doorway and I’m not sure I will need them. Very pleased.

My pup had surgery on his back legs recently and will be having his other back legs done too. To keep him contained, I had one of those wire fences zig zagged around him. Unsightly and not very stable. This fence seems to be a lot more sturdy, time will tell, also easier on the eye. I do wish it came with a couple more of the stabilizer pieces. It would make a world of difference and the reason I only give 4 stars. I'm going to contact the seller and see if i can order more. All in all, I'm happy with it.

This product ended up being much better than expected. It comes 95% assembled — huge plus! It’s sturdy and heavy, right out of the box. It’s attractive, and high quality. It is easy to move and configure into multiple different positions. Each section is hinged for both directions. Some small scratches on one of the optional stabilizers, but you would have to search for it. Could not recommend more.

I've had this for over a year now. Great quality. Easy to setup. It keeps my dogs from going in one of my rooms.

This gate is aesthetically pleasing if you need to block off an area, but is easily pushed out of the way or knocked down (35 lb puppy for reference). Gate swings wide enough, but product would benefit from extra “feet” to stabilize it. Could be affixed to the wall with anti tip furniture straps (not included) to prevent it from moving.

My wife and I examined many different similar products before deciding on this item. We are very pleased we bought it.The item came very well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with strongly-taped corners and edges.The fence comes assembled, which is terrific! Inside the box, styrofoam sheets and pieces protected the item along with small cardboard and pieces of sponge to keep the pieces of the fence well protected during shipping! Ours came intact with no damage via USPS--amazingly still no damage.The fence is nice looking with the white trim and black wiring and silver hinges/hardware. Right out of the box, the fence unfolds easily and each section can fold forward and backward making it easy to bend it where you need it as a fence or in two shapes as a fenced-in area--octagon or rectangle.These are big panels and thus the box is big. This is 12 feet of fencing, too, so the box will be a little heavy for some, but not too bad overall. What helps it not be too heavy, compared to some similar products, is the thin thickness (depth) of each panel, so it folds up into a smaller space than other products that have each panel measuring in at 4-inches deep! The smaller thickness does not seem to be a problem at all in terms of quality or what works, so we're glad we picked this option.Also, the panels are 30 inches tall and 24 inches wide, so it helps keep small children and probably most dogs contained--except for dogs who can jump 30 inches or who might ram the fence. There are two support pieces for the fence (and the bottom of each is covered with a soft, protecting pad to avoid scuffing your floor), but they won't be strong enough to keep the fence from being pushed or knocked over with sufficient force when the fence is set up end-to-end. They are sufficient for normal bracing, however.We have our fence spanning an opening of about 9 feet with some parts of the end panels braced behind the refrigerator and a piece of furniture in the corner of the dining room. That gives it plenty of strength. The fence will move back and forth as you pass through or touch it since it's not locked into the ground, but that's not the purpose of this fence and therefore not an issue. You might want some self-stick felt pads at different spots on the bottom of the fence in spots if it rubs against your wood or tile floor to avoid any potential damage.Some others, I believe, wrote reviews that the screws for the two latches weren't sufficient, but that's not what we found. You only have to put on the two latches with four, small screws, which is pretty easy.However, I wish the starter holes for each screw were a bit deeper as it's hard to get them started. I found it easier to use a manual screwdriver rather than my electric one. It's hard to put the screws in with the fence standing, so if you can lay open the fence with the gate part against the hard floor, you'll find it easier to put them in, I think. Once in, the latches work great and we only use the top one to keep the puppies in the kitchen/dining room, making it easy for us to go in and out using just one latch.The gate opens only in one direction. It is not a swinging gate that goes both ways. Not an issue--but just so you know. However, the gate does open 180 degrees so it can lay flat against one side of the fence rather than sticking out at a 45 degree angle making a traffic hazard. A great feature!We're enjoying it and it came quicker than predicted, which was very nice. We can recommend this product highly. It will help keep grandchildren or your own little ones safe and out of the kitchen during the holidays--depending on how big your area is.Enjoy!
