I got this book for my son as a back-to-school read, and it was such a hit. The story is fun, playful, and full of positive energy. Pete the Cat makes school feel exciting instead of scary, which is exactly what I wanted for him starting a new year. The illustrations are bright and engaging, and the rhythm of the story keeps kids interested the whole way through. Totally recommended for a kindergarten kid

I have taught Pre-K for the last four years, and I must say, what a delight to have found this book! This book will serve really well for the beginning of the year. We usually use The Kissing Hand, but I will be using this book as an intro to tour around the school. I love the moral of the story - that no matter what happens in life, it's "all good." The kids are going to love shouting "Goodness, no!" to the repetitive question "Does Pete worry?" I can see myself using that question during class when the children get into situations that make them feel sad or mad. :) I love how there is an MP3 to the book, with the song, on the publisher's site!! I also bought the doll too. Both Pete the Cat books will really kick start a new year of Pre-K with great attitude and fun! The illustrations are simple and colourful and pleasing to the eye. This book is definitely a treasure for Pre-K teachers!! The story is cute and engaging. Perfect for 3 and 4 year olds!

My kindergarten students love this book!

We absolutely love the Pete the Cat books in my classroom this was one of two that I first got the kids love it and the read along online. Definitely getting more.

I could give these books a million stars. My nephew is autistic and while he's incredibly intelligent, reading is not his favorite subject, and he is falling behind. These books and their songs have made reading so fun for him that he can't put them down. I found out before Christmas that he had been borrowing one from school without telling anyone. Once I found that out I knew I had to get him his own books. I got him New School Shoes and Saves Christmas. Without a doubt I am going to have to buy more.

This is the 3rd Pete the Cat book I've purchased for my grandkids. There is another one coming out in May that we will probably buy because we are Pete the Cat groupies here. Rockin' In My School Shoes has pretty much the same message as the "new shoes" one; stuff happens, don't freak out, it's alll good! I like the extra comments on the side (groovy!) I bought this book for my grandson who is 4 yrs. old, and was starting a new preschool in a new town. He liked it alot! He was already familier with Pete, because one of the first books I got him was "I Like My New Shoes" which he liked even when he was too young to know if the book was upside down! We read it like the video you can visit-listed on the cover of the book. I purchased a stuffed Pete the Cat for myself (!) and he is over a window sill in my living room. I remember Pete's attitude when life throws me a curve! Does Pete get upset? Goodness, no!

This book, like the first Pete the Cat book is a fun book that teaches kids about the power of positive thinking, and turning a bad situation into a good one. The tune is catchy and my kindergarten students really love the character of Pete. At different times, my students and I burst into the Pete the Cat songs. A great book. Parents, kids, and teachers alike will love Pete the Cat.

My class love Pete. This is a great start of school year book for sharing. They love the YouTube animated version too and sing along.
