peeler stand
This world cuisine upright peeler stand is great! Serves its purpose very good. Looks very sturdy and durable. good quality

$100 mistake - stand and peeler are going on freecycle today
My very mechanically inclined husband took one look at this and said, "It'll never work." He was right. Too-cheap copy of Mr Peely restaurant carrot peeler stand. Because the peeler platform has to be lined up directly above the base, in order to accommodate the height of the peeler plus the length of a carrot, therefore the extension has to be pulled completely out. Unfortunately, extending it allows it to flex; and because it takes so much force on the peeler mechanism as carrots are (have to be) slammed through it, the entire stand starts to move around on the countertop. Every couple of carrots, I had to re-clamp the stand onto the countertop. Possible fix: a clamp with a long and large clamping surface, to make it possible to take the extension out and reverse it - the base facing one way and the peeler platform the other - with the peeler opposite rather than over the base, it could be completely un-extended and possibly sturdy.

Expensive
There's nothing wrong with this stand. It's reasonably sturdy and well-made. The price is fair if you compare to other sellers. I just don't understand how this simple metal stand is worth $50. It's clearly a niche product for people who need to prep many pounds of carrots at a time and are desperate to speed that up regardless of the cost. I guess the stand is sturdy enough to stand up to use in a pro kitchen. I'm less confident about the plastic peeler that costs as much.

Makes peeling long carrots a lot easier , anywhere , anytime.
Bought this together with the peeler system. It is very sturdy. it's been a month since we have been using it and we'll see how long this one will last.
