This product has made a huge difference in my laundry, especially my whites. No more dingy looking whites. I have exceedingly hard water and this has solved the problem.

I never thought that I’d be writing a product review on a laundry product - but here I am. We have hard water where I live and it makes doing simple laundry difficult. I alway ended up with a washer full of (what appeared to be soap or calcium grains - and they were irritating to breath in after I washed my clothes. My first load of simple t-shirts with Calgon seemed to release a lot of particulate matter that I usually needed to rinse several times before I could wear the items. Not so with calgon. I just did a simple double rinse , and the shirts had released all of the particles that I was used to. No irritation from sniffing my t-shirts - nothing.. Add to that, the clothing is much smoother and softer than before. I expect subsequent washes will make them even smoother again. This product is inexpensive and very easy to use. Its also very to find - except at Amazon. No other online store seemed to carry it.

I really like using this. I do not have a water softener. I order it from Amazon because it is hard to find.

it works in hard water

Calgon is a very good water softener. I pour a little in my bathroon stools to help keep the stains off. My water is very hard and Calgon helps.

This really helps in our hard water, esp when using cold water. We've tried the calgon tablets before, and they won't dissolve in our water! Black clothes come out looking like they have sand on them. Tried the Calgon Gel, but the smell was overpowering. Wish this came in unscented but at least the fragrance is subtle. Hard to find in the stores. Hope they keep making it for online sales

Added with detergent, you use less, and have brighter, cleaner clothes without residue.

This definitively whitens the white laundry, helps not to turn yellowish.

Calgon difference is very good for hard water problems

I am using this product to use with my aluminum plates to clean my silverware. Could not find product in stores?

I have hard water at home and have been looking for things to help soften the water for washing and showering. This seems to help, but it's kind of hard for me to tell.
