Amazing !
Ok....I am attempting to add some longterm storage to our pantry. I've endlessly searched many products but concentrating on basics, as eggs, butter, cooking oils, milk, etc.Today I received my order of OvaEasy dehydrated eggs. Still skeptical of how the alternative to "fresh" could possibly be suitable, I decided I was opening one of these 12 egg packages "now", my curiosity took over and it was breakfast for dinner time.I made them as package stated (which is just add a little cold water), scrambled them, they cook quicker than fresh eggs, but otherwise exactly the same. Normally, I make omelets, and decided it wouldn't be a fair comparison to see how we would like them if we ate them plain, so I fixed them as directed, took a small taste (unbelievable) then added on top, some green peppers, onions and mushrooms with a sprinkle of thyme (all, which i had just dehydrated in my new dehydrator), and honestly I was shocked, the OvaEasy eggs taste no different than when I fix fresh eggs. I didn't tell my husband, then as we were eating i said "oh, I used my dehydrated veggies". He said, "it taste great" and then I said "yeah, these OvaEasy dried eggs are Amazing.....and so glad I found a product that does what it says. He just looked shocked and went back to finishing his breakfast for dinner!! So, they pass the test, they taste like fresh cooked eggs. These would be great for camping, hiking, adding to prepped meals and storing a bag in your pantry, for when you forgot you used all the eggs this morning and your family now wants you to fix brownies, muffins or cookies, that require one egg!! Happens in our house all the time! Also, eggs have skyrocketed recently, so when searching for dried eggs, the prices were shocking to me and my budget. These OvaEasy eggs were a better price per egg than most brands, and I am so glad I tried this product, found a "Winner" and feel secure that I can have long storage eggs for my family.Amazing! I'm still shocked !

Very easily the best egg flavor of any dried egg product.
Ova Easy are by far the best tasting dried eggs that I've ever had and I keep them on hand at all times. Whenever I need an egg for either a meal or a recipe, it's simple to just mix a couple of tablespoons with water and there you go.Since I sometimes make very small batches of things like waffles, it's really awesome to be able to measure 1/4 of an egg (for example) instead of making more than I can use and having to store leftover batter or waffles. For camping or backpacking I can't imagine a better alternative if you want to have eggs as part of a meal. I would not hesitate to serve them to anyone at all, knowing there is no way you can tell these from an actual egg. Because it is actual egg.The crystal form of this is far better than various powders because it mixes very easily with the water! This cannot be overstated: it is the key to these eggs imho. The crystal shape of Ova Easy will absorb the water while inferior powdered egg will make the water bead frustratingly even when you mix it hard. Worth the money because you get what you pay for.

Great tasting eggs that can be a little fidgety to make
These are good, but I feel that you need to use more powder than specified in order to get really creamy scrambled egg-like eggs. But if you use like 25% more powder than specified, and create a thick slurry instead of the watery thin one specified in the instructions, you can get some very creamy scrambled eggs with good body. The taste is good either way. The packaging is a little inconvenient; once you open the package, it is not resealable so you have to put it into a ziplock bag to keep the remainder fresh. It would be nice to be able to mix in the bag but if you add the specified amount of water to hydrate the entire bag, it becomes very difficult to mix it effectively because of the bag shape, size, and material, so you end up with lots of 'clots' of unmixed powder. If you mix vigorously outside of the bag then you can get good mixing and good results. The 'paste' that results is sticky and tends to get all over everything and is not the easiest to clean, but in the end, there is no way to have eggs this good from a dry product otherwise so these small deficiencies can be easily overlooked.

Same texture, same color, same taste as real eggs.
Well, color me impressed. These actually do cook and taste like the real deal. You mix it with water and cook it in a skillet like you do real eggs. I suppose in a blind side-by-side taste test some people might be able to tell the difference, but it still tastes good regardless. You don't have to mix the whole pack all at once, but only as much as you need, and store the rest of the powder without refrigeration. Not sure how long the powder is good for after opening, but the expiration date on the pack is Nov 10, 2018. With a shelf life of 2 years 9 months, this would be good to have around for camping trips, or even for a bit of 'prepper' backup food. It's never a bad idea to have at least a few weeks worth of emergency food around that does not require refrigeration. Just ask the people who went through Katrina or Sandy.

Great product while camping or in emergencies
We use this when backpacking or during emergencies. Great shelf life and no noticable taste difference in scrambled eggs or in baked goods. The consistency of scrambled eggs is only slightly off (10-15%) from regular eggs.

Yummy.
Tried this a few weeks ago and liked it so much I decided to put it in my survival kits. Stores easy and has a long shelf life . Decided to go with the small bags so the product should remain fresher.

Eggggggcellent!
One does need to follow the directions and hydrate them separately first and then cook them in a pan or pot while stirring like you would non-powdered eggs. While camping, I initially made the mistake of adding hot water and letting them sit for 10 to 15 minutes. They did not miraculously turn into eggs but remained unpalatable egg soup. Next go around, I surrendered my shortcut and followed the directions which resulted in delicious egg-like, egg-consistency eggs. Glad I gave it another shot. I eat very cleanly and like to backpack, camp, and hike ,so these have become a staple of mine for such outdoor overnight adventures. Happy they exist.
