Men's Metropolitan Crew Dress Socks, 3-Pairs

Extended Size Metropolitan Goldtoe. Rated for size 12 - 16. I usually wear a men's 12 EE extra wide shoe. Standard size socks crush my feet and make them turn blue! Recently tried buying some Wrangler extended size crew socks, and even though they were rated as size 12-15, they were much too narrow. I suspect size 12 in China or Vietnam means something different from size 12 in North America. These Goldtoe socks fit me well, and would probably work for someone up to size 13. They are labeled up to size 16, but anyone over size 14 might have a hard time with these. My only complaint is I can't tell where they're made. The say "Designed in Charleston SC" on the package, but no actual country of origin... That probably means China, but at least they're designed by someone familiar with actual North American sizes. I'm going to have these 5 stars because I've heard good things about Goldtoe as a brand, and I'm very happy to find comfortable dress socks. If they develop holes or otherwise quit on me I'll come back and revise this review. But they look good, feel good, and they weren't absurdly overpriced either. Decent product!

The material in these socks is thin, about like a dress sock, and lightweight, with good moisture-wicking properties. I did buy these to wear with high 11-inch Western-style boots, and they are comfortable for a while, but after an hour or two, they do slide down my calves so the boot leather often rubs against my legs. On the other hand, with tighter six-inch motorcycle boots, these remain in place inside the boot and are more comfortable. I do like them overall, and these are offered at a competitive and economical price.

These are nice and are still holding up after a few years. Will probably stick with this brand.

Goldtoe socks are the best! They are great quality and a good value for your money because they are so durable. I buy them for my son-in-law for Christmas because he likes them so much. I love that I can always find them on Amazon for a reasonable price.

These are the kind of socks people keep trying to find again after years of buying disappointing replacements. The black colour stays black, they don’t seem to shrink, and they still have that solid durable feel that made older Goldtoe socks so good in the first place. Hard to find pairs like this now. Honestly, these feel like the sort of socks that will last 10 years without much trouble. If you’ve been chasing that replacement pair you bought ages ago and wondering why nothing else compares, these are probably the ones you’ve been looking for.

I needed thin dress socks because my shoes were too tight. Well these socks are thin. And I mean thin. I can’t imagine they will last more than a few months and I can’t imagine they cost more than 10¢ to manufacture. Anyway, my shoes are too loose now. Buy only if you are in a bind. Literally.

These have got to be the most awesome men's socks ever! I love wearing them no matter what footwear I am wearing....boots, shoes or trainers, they are so comfortable and look really smart. Great value for money as well. Definitely recommend them.
