Very nice switch but not the easiest install
The switches took me about 20 minutes to install but I have been installing switches for years, not professionally, just about the house and whatnot. I'm used to a variety of switches and these were about what you would expect for a three way, with some complexities. You will have to identify the hot wire, which requires the power to be on for part of the installation, so if you're not comfortable with that, you may want to ask for help.Overall, if you install this with guidance from the app, it's not too difficult. It will guide you through most of the steps, with ONE IMPORTANT EXCEPTION. Since LED lights have different parameters, the master switch comes with a dimming wheel that you can set to the specificity of your lighting system. That means that if you dim your lights down low, some LEDs will flicker because of the way they draw power, creating a strobe effect. The wheel allows you to dial in to the appropriate amount of power for the dimmest setting and is a great (and necessary) feature of the switch.Unfortunately, as of April 2020, the app doesn't bother to tell you this until the system is fully in place and most people will have screwed the switches into place and potentially put the switch plate on. So, when you are installing and have tested the switch with power, VERY carefully pull the master switch out, dim the lights to the lowest setting. If the lights flicker, move the wheel on the bottom back of the master switch until you get the dimmest light with no flickering. Then you can fully install the switch.Functionality with Alexa and Google Assistant are great and the feel of the switches are good too. So other than a slightly more challenging installation, these switches are wonderful.

GREAT Product at a very Affordable Price!
This is my second Meross product. I previously purchased their Wireless Garage Door Opener on "WOOT.com,” and was very pleased. BTW - if you read about Meross' Garage Door Opener disabling your regular opener devices, it is simply NOT TRUE. They have totally eliminated this issue, and I find the opener to work perfectly, reliably, and continue to use my original openers as well. But on to the Smart 3 Way Dimmer Switch Kit! In a word, this Meross product is FANTABULOUS!! Great product!! I had no trouble with installation and the product works PERFECTLY with my Amazon Alexa app. As good or even better than the actual amazon smart plug that I already have. The step by step installation instructions which are part of the Meross App. are a MUST, however. The literally walks you through step-by-step "how to do it" with illustrations and details. I found the Meross Application (easy download on my iPhone) a lot more detailed than the paper instruction booklet. So how does it work with “Alexa?” Perfectly and reliably. I walk into the house and say… “Alexa, turn on Kitchen Light” and on it goes! You can name the device whatever you like, of course. I was also able to add control of this Meross switch to an Alexa routine, so when I come how and go to bed… the kitchn lights go off as part of the programmed routine.I did not have to call Meross Product support for assistance, and I am not an electrician. I would say that for this three way switch, you do need a certain level of general wiring knowledge (see my photos); otherwise I would recommend getting help from a friend or electrician… which Meross also tells you. But if you have or would feel confident putting in a new electrical outlet or regular light switch, you will have no trouble self-installing. But down load the Meross smart phone app first – and let it help you with the install.

DO NOT BUY! Switches randomly turn on & off!
BUYER BEWARE: Unfortunately, every bad review you've read is true - including this one. I ignored them, thinking I knew better but I was wrong. If I can save you from all the pain, headache, and lost money and time that I've dealt with, then I've done my job. Here's what happened...I was looking for a 3-way dimmer switch, that would be LED + wifi compatible and would work with Alexa. I usually go with other brands but there are very few options when it comes to 3-way dimmer switches and this switch was one of two switches I found. Since it was decently priced, had a $5 coupon available and would be delivered via Prime, I added a few to my cart and checked out with a smile on my face, thinking I got a good deal.Boy, was I in for a surprise!I bought 4 of these switches and couldn't wait to install them. The installation was pretty straightforward and no different from any other smart switch. The only difference is that this kit comes with two switches. The master switch has a blinking yellow light and the secondary doesn't, which helps identifying the device you need to pair. After installing the switches, the LED lights are either on at full blast or not on at all and you can't control them with the switch itself, which is very strange. You have to first register the switch with their mobile app for it to respond to its own buttons. Because of that, I thought I may have incorrectly wired up the switch but after going through the mobile setup process, I was able to control the lights. But I wasn't the only one controlling the lights! It turns out, every switch but one randomly turns on & off every few minutes which has my young kids utterly terrified. They live in fear of the "ghost lights", as they have called them, and they don't want to leave their bedrooms. It doesn't matter how I try to control the switches - whether it's directly on the switch, the app or Alexa - they cycle on & off at random times. I now avoid touching these lights, which makes them pretty much worthless. The problem is that even if I avoid touching them, they still turn on ON THEIR OWN. Ugh! Since I can't rip them out of the wall, the only way to "turn them off" is to bring the brightness all the way down so that if they do turn on, we don't see the lights coming on.If that wasn't bad enough......the secondary switch on two of the switches doesn't work at all. The green indicator light is on but no matter how many times you press the button, it does absolutely nothing. Did I mention they were worthless? Now it also has me thinking that the one working switch is very likely a fluke. I feel it's only a matter of time before it starts acting up too! Every time it comes on, you can't help but glance over to see if someone actually or turned it on or if it's like all the other switches with a mind of their own.For our sanity, we will be returning all the lights and purchasing another brand. The Treatlife switches have been great but they don't have a 3-way LED dimmer switch option yet. I reached out to them and they said that their engineers were working on one but they didn't have a date on when they'd be available. Leviton does have a 3-way switch with a separate remote switch you can purchase as a secondary. I just bought both and look forward to getting rid of the ghost switches for good. Now that brings a smile to my face!

Easy to install, wish they didn't use pigtails
I used these to replace the last dumb switches in our house, and I have no major complaints. These do require a neutral wire in order to work like many other smart switches, so make sure you have a neutral wire in your electrical box.Setup was as straight forward as any other smart switch I have installed. This does unfortunately use pigtail connections which I dislike as each connection needs a separate marrette, taking up vital room in an already cramped electrical box. It is possible to fit these into a single electrical box, but you have to be mindful of where you put things, and cram everything to the back. It's a tight fit, but it's doable.Adding this to the app was as simple as adding them to my existing Tuya Smart Life app. I like having things I can add into my Smart Life app, and it was very simple to do. My Tuya integration on Home Assistant picked this up instantly, and I was good to go.

buggy. ghost lighting *** update ***
software/ or hardware failure present, wait 6 months for an updated product. im awaiting warranty direct from meross as the two kits i installed were both defective..although all the other switches 7 single poles and 4 standard 3 way switches are working fantastic without hitch. i think they just missed the mark on q/c on the 3 way dimmers'they are, as far as i can tell, first to market for dimmer 3 way smart switches that don't use a battery style slave switch.like the header says, these switches will randomly on/off sporadically throughout usage.. ive had them on in the middle of the night like party time until i took them out due to frustration.oh, and the screws that they include are the wrong thread pitch for NA, they are a metric fastener so do not install them into your device box unless you feel like dealing with pulled threads.will update post later with warranty switches if they work properly or are all over the place like these.** update ***after emailing meross directly i was sent a set of new switches that arrived within 3 days. new switches were obviously newer build as wires were tinned and packaging was slightly different. installed new switches into my gangs. now every light switch on my main floor operates correctly. no random flickering.. dimmable all the way down. my electrician that ran wiring was over checking out the setup and was impressed for cost.great option for those that are willing to risk a bit of a gamble on old/new stock. Im a diy hands on guy so replacing a switch isn't a big deal for me..note they are larger switches so if you are doing new install for device box i would suggest getting the deepest box available as the wires get messy when more then 2 devices per device box.

Defective product
I had the switches installed by an electrician, and they didn't work. I had them tested by an electronics engineer, and he found them defective.I am far past the return date, so I am stuck with them. $$ down the drain!
