does it have the same number of buttons or keys a real saxophone has?

No. It has no trill keys. It uses a variation on recorder fingering, so Key of C notes are the same as on a regular sax, but some different fingerings are needed for some of the sharps and flats. Maybe about 85%-90% the same as a regular sax.

How often does the reed have to be replaced?

I play soprano sax. It depends on how often you play. The mouth piece and read should be cleaned after each playing session. When you’re notes are not coming out as clear, that would be a good time to replace your read. Make sure you moisten tour read. The appears to be plastic, so it may not get as dry as a wooden read

Does it come with a music chart or a how to pamphlet to get you started?

It comes with a fingering chart.

How can I choose the color? I woukd like it in black and pink detail.

Yes, there are multiple color options available.
