I bought this for my high schooler who has had a few years of high school Spanish. The cards are quality - sturdy, brightly colored and easy to read. One side has just the Spanish word, the other side has the Spanish word next to a picture depicting the meaning. This means there's a "hard side" and an "easy side". If you are just wanting to learn the words and their meaning then look at the side with the picture and the word. If you are wanting to test your vocab, then look at the side with just the word and then flip to the picture side to see if you got it right. But there's a "bonus" way to use these cards for those who want extra challenge. Look at the pictures only and cover the word. From there, see if you can describe the picture in Spanish, then uncover the answer. This is probably the way my son will get the most use out of it. It's fairly easy the other ways for him because he's a good guesser given the word, but just looking at the picture alone makes it a challenge for him! Great set of cards at a great price!

These cards are a great thickness to work with, and the curved edge makes it easy to take one off the stack. The topics included are nicely comprehensive (colors, body parts, shapes, etc). My kids will do one "section" of vocab at a time and I can quiz them. I am going to look for another set of flash cards that have Spanish on one side and English on the other to add to our collection. This set has the same Spanish word on both sides with one picture of the word on the back (just like the box pictures). We can't use them for quizzing ourselves back and forth for learning vocabulary, but they are good words to learn with a nice, easy read font.

For the price I expected the English word to be on the back of the card. I bought another pack of these for only $2.99 and they had the English answers on the card. I do like the card stock on these and the nice sturdy box. I like the pictures with the word that helps me learn and remember the Spanish words. I had to put the English words on the box of the cards myself using the answer key. Now that I put the English answer on the bottom corner of the back of the card I love them! These are great if you already took Spanish and just want to refresh but not for the beginner in my opinion unless you are willing to take the time as I did to put the English answers on the back of the card.

I have 3 different flashcards, all of them (plus this one) are very good for Spanish class. This one help me to reinforce new words, definite and change to indefinite articles, ask them to use the nouns and add adjectives, even spelling...and so on. I am really please with my flashcard....help a lot.
