Pretty simple device, easy to integrate

Using a La Crosse S84060 and La Crosse View app, this was easy to set up as an additional sensor. I matched the same sensor that came with my kit so this was totally expected.

Hope it works

For some reason shipping was slow. Shipped from Lacrosse Wi. To St. Paul Mn. To Kansas City Mo. to Columbia Mo. to St Louis Mo. to Knoxville Tn to Oxford Ms. to Kansas City Mo. again then St. Joseph Mo. and finally to Maryville Mo.Wonder why it didn’t show up by the 25th like it was supposed to.Didn’t arrive when expected so had to pay to have it sent 2nd day to my location so I could get it installed before I had to go back home. Hope it works won’t have time to make any changes if necessary.Hooked up and works well have been using for 6 months. Pleased with everything except shipping.

Run as fast as you can from the supplier

This is a replacement part but that being said I would never buy this brand again ! I was on the phone with customer service and it took us about 40 minutes to pair this unit up with the base station.

Thanks to La Crosse support all's good.

Stopped working after 2 days.Well turns out. It was working okay. Amazon support switched me over to the manufacturer they fixed it right away. I got the feeling that Amazon support really didn't know this product very well or the weather station. La Crosse offered superior support. They will be sending out a bug fix.

Trash Accuracy

I added the sensor so that I could get a more accurate measurement under my shaded porch, while the stock temperature sensor is Inside my wind gauge, which would be off during direct sun. This was advertised as “Swiss grade accuracy”, so I thought this would be the perfect solution. Well, total fail.First of all, signal is extremely weak, and I had to move it despite being 50 feet away, even tho it advertised 400 foot range. Also connection drops intermittently, which is annoying and didn’t happen to the stock version.Secondly, I’ve noticed extreme inaccuracies. It’s nearly 10 degrees off, at NIGHT. Humidity readings also 20% different. Notice it’s raining in my attached photo, yet it said only 60% while 80% seems more accurate. I am going to return this- total disappointment and back to drawing board!

Does not fit the sensor protection shield

Why would they make it not compatible with their own, one and only sensor protection shield? It's literally the same dimensions as all the other typical sensors they have but the two tiny legs on the bottom are slightly bigger for some genius reason, making it not sit flush with the upright column it's supposed to be attached to. And it's not like they have another protection shield that fits this sensor. Don't know if this is the fault of the shield design whose upright column is too big, or the fault of the sensor design whose legs are too big, but it's definitely the fault of La Crosse Technology. Facepalm and such. Edit: Ok, just use velcro instead of the zip ties and it's fine, but still..
