Philips Norelco Shaver 6500 Wet & dry electric shaver 1160X/40KH Series 6000 with Travel Trimmer

This is my first electric shaver and today morning I shaved first time by electric shaver in my 34 years of life. I recommend to everyone shave by electric shaver, it is usually better for your skin, as i am assured now on practice. In 2-3 minutes it shaved me completely, but as i am trying to make LIGHT shave for now (and for several shaves in the near future), my shave is not full, but again, it was decided by me. Anyway, product is of very good quality and price is very nice.

Shave and trimmer was good but the battery life was horrible. Not worth it because of battery life.

I have extremely coarse (not dense) facial hair, and this does a decent job of shaving. Like all electric razors, it just doesn't give you *as* smooth of a shave as a standard blade razor, but it has held up well and better than other electric razors against my tough beard. Recharging base is nice and minimal. It doesn't have the auto cleaning, but it's not a difficult thing to clean and comes apart very easily.

I liked, but missed previous Norelco that had shaving lotion dispenser built in. I starting used this shaver with shaving cream as alternative to my previous Norelco and it worked well. Now that I have full beard, not reaction to the new Norelco, I used to trim the next. It is my second favorite Norelco raiser and I have purchased several Norelcos over the years.

I've used Norelco shavers for many years. I've always used the traditional style, but I decided to "upgrade" to the more modern style shaver. Big mistake. The cutter head on this is poorly designed. Yes, it shaves well. However, the cutter head sometimes loses parts under spring pressure when the head is removed for cleaning - a normal part of shaving. I ordered a new head. The same thing happened to the new one - twice. The first time I found the spring and replaced it. This time it can't be found. Now I have a practically new shaver with only two working cutters. This may well be my last Norelco.Don't buy this one or similar design.

This shaver is very quiet, gives a close, smooth shave, and cleans easily - what else can you ask for!

I promptly returned this product after trying it for the first time. First, it feels very cheap in the hand. Most of the body seems hollow. There isn't a good heft.More importantly, the shave was poor. I thought this product would help me get the cross hairs on my neck, but turning the razor on you can tell just by the sound that it's weak and doesn't have much cutting power. I tried using shaving cream for a wet shave because my neck is sensitive and often shows razor burn and irritations, but the razor just ate up all the shaving cream and left my skin dry. Not worth the money.

I have a better Philips electric shaver but it died on me. This does an adequate shave for the price.
