This pump will fit a 67 vw bug Flat cam ?

Not stock for your 67 if the case is the original with 6mm oil pump studs. (Don’t count on it) Part # would be 311-115-107K. Or add HD for pump with deeper gears. Later pump/case combinations with 8mm studs should have matched size inlet & output hole sizes. OEM Pump for later cases with larger oil passages also has triangular space/cavity on each side of gears. That’s ok if everything else matches up. Some replacement pumps have the cavities by gears too.

Is this pump for flat cams?

Yes. All oil pumps for “dished, or deep dish, or 4-rivet” cams will say that in description. But always CHECK! If you use an earlier pump with 4-rivet cam, it will barely engage slot. Or not at all, resulting in disaster! Do a trial fit in half the case to be sure.

will this work for a 1972 porsche 914 with the stock 1.7l engine with m8 studs? Is this high volume?

Research phrases like: MODIFY TYPE 1 OIL PUMP FOR TYPE 4 / 914. The original pump on 412, 72-on bus & 914 was quite different. Multiple pieces, not just this pump & flat cover. Look at the pics in your 914 manual. You do have at least one manual, right?
