So far so good
Not a long term review but...seems to be a solid and lightweight component. Running a mashup setup on a new hardtail 1x11 build: xtr cassette/shifter/rear derailleur with xx1 chain and chainring. No issues and no dropped chain 500 miles which included 2 endurance races.

I've had Xtr groups on my lad 2 mtn bikes - great performance and quality from Shimano.

Updating firmware from iPad bricks the battery and is toataly non-operational. Dead... No way to recover without a windows PC with software installed. No OSX support (cant use parallels, virtual box, etc.). Kind of silly for a device meant to be upgraded on the go.
