It's great to go on a vacation or a long drive and have something which I can easily use to recharge my digital camera, android pad, Nintendo, iPod, and plethora of other small electronic devices while on the road and in the car. This worked great! I love that I can plug something into it that has regular household prongs and that it has a USB adapter for charging the small electronics. I would not plug anything that requires much voltage such as blow dryer or space heater, but for a small radio, cell phone charger or light, it works nicely! And it tilts so that if you need to adjust it somewhat you can do that. I now keep one in each car. Really nice to have if you need to charge something along the way.

I am very happy with this car charger. Overall, good product, great price and quick shipping. I had looked at other stores for a similar product and it was $40 so I'm very glad I checked Amazon before deciding on my purchase. I like how it has both a USB and power cord adapter. I received the charger much sooner than expected and it was shipped in its orginal box so I was happy there wasn't the chance of it being damaged in the shipping process. I recently used this car charger quite a bit on a week long road trip. It was quiet and didn't overheat and charged a variety of cell phones, including an iPhone, very reliably. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because it is a little bulky (but still fits perfectly in my glove compartment) and while its good that you can adjust the angle, there isn't a way to lock it so it would sometimes slip down and be facing downward. I'd definitely recommend this product to a friend.

With all inverter products, there are always a few reviews indicating that it blows the fuse in the car, doesn't work and has to be returned. This happened to me, bad luck of the draw. I verified I do have a 12v battery, not a 24v one. I'm returning it and ordering another, I don't blame Bestek as even the most well known companies have the same problem. After blowing the fuse in my car and replacing it, I got the green light to go on with the next fuse, but then this product permanently died. [I didn't know I could edit review, added a comment then realized I could edit this, so this is what I wrote in my comment] UPDATE: The replacement product works perfectly in my car, no blown fuses at all. I bought this unit because I didn't see any complaints about blown fuses, so I think I was the only one who ran into this problem. As indicated in the seller notes, they test out their products before they ship it out to eliminate this problem, but I guess mine was a freak defect that didn't occur until I received it. The seller was VERY helpful in email and very quick to respond, which are traits I value very much. I am a very satisfied customer now.

I used this on a cross-country trip from Texas to Montana and back, about 5,000 miles round-trip. It was a wonderful tool for charging my phone, the iPod, Kindle, and Nintendo DS while driving. It does not have a fan so it does get a little hot if you are charging multiple items at once but it did not affect the functioning of the charger. Just be careful unplugging it if you've been using it a while. I also found that my phone acted a bit wonky while it was charging, but immediately returned to normal once it was unplugged. Not sure what's up with that --- but for an affordable on-the-road option for charging the bazillion gadgets we carried along with us, it was really great. I'm still using it to charge my phone in the car as needed around town during commutes or when my GPS drains my cell battery. Overall, this is a really great product for the price.

While boondocking,I use this inverter inside my RV to connect my ROKU box to a 12 volt receptacle. It works just fine and doesn't use up a lot of power like it would if I used a full-size inverter like a 300-400 watt inverter. I love this little inverter, and I also use it to plug in USB powered devices to charge also. If you need a little inverter to power a cellphone, netbook or some other small powered electronic devices then this is the one to get. UPDATE: When I first wrote this review I wrote it in regards to the previous model (75watt charger with a SINGLE USB port), and since then they now make one with two USB ports. I've since purchased 2 more of these units. My update is that the one with the single USB port allows you to hook up a triple gang outlet extension to this device and still use the one and only single USB port, and if you use the extension on the new dual USB model you can't access any of the ports if hook up an extension. But, if you have no intentions on hooking up an outlet adapter to this unit, then the dual ports work wonders and either way you go these bestek inverter chargers are AWESOME. I even own the 150 watt one. By the way, I use these daily, actually all day long, and they stand up very well. I'm VERY satisfied! Highly recommend!

Doesn't work at all! Waste of money

This product is somewhat of a solution for the situation where one wants to use their laptop in their car, but it leaves something t o be desired regarding reliability. That is, it frequently alternates between charging the laptop's battery and then going into not-charging mode. So over time, the laptop being used actually loses charge from its battery because the inverter is not putting charge into the battery faster than charge is being consumed, due to the non-continual operation of the inverter. Occasionally, though, the inverter does charge the battery continually even while the laptop is being used. But this desirable operation is present significantly less than the undesirable on-and-off operation. I am unsure what is causing the intermittent operation, as my laptop is one of those for which the inverter was designed. Perhaps the inverter is overheating and so auto-shuts off to cool down, but that shouldn't be happening in the first place.

We bought this power inverter back in 2016. 6 years later, we are still able to use it for many road trips and for going-to-work traveling many times a year. Its easily capable of charging any cell phones or powering a portable car DVD player. It does generate some heat after a while, nothing to worry about or the be concerned. I am always pleased to see that there is still some long-lasting quality items in our disposable world! Enjoy your day!

Got a vaccum for a new car, forget settling for a small usb one. Got the one i wanted, plug it in the adapter. Good price works great.

I gave it 4 stars because of it's quick arrival. Ask me about value, quality, etc in a year, or so.

overheats if left in a closed space (left it in the middle compartment between the two front seats inside the armrest). But it's all good if it's left out in the open. Only issue with that is this thing is quite big. To off set its massive size, it bends at the base.
