We gave it to our 8 year old granddaughter to record her trip from her perspective. She had no problems using it. Good to have something other than phone to record. Review: ORDRO Portable 720P Video Camera - I do make YouTube videos as a past-time. I usually use my iPhone 7 plus and mirrorless camera to film and MacBook Air to put together the videos. I'm just starting out on my channel and also love making videos for my family to mark special occasions. Camcorders are new to me in making videos - this one is super light and super easy to use. I love that it is barely bigger than my hand. It comes with 2 batteries, AV cable, charging cable and 16 GB memory card. It is a basic camcorder from what I can see - I would have liked the ability to connect with my phone through an app. I would have liked to connect to my laptop while filming. Otherwise, you can connect with a desktop, monitor, or your TV. I love that you can flip the screen over so you can see yourself as you film (if you're doing a vlog). As for the quality of the audio and video - the video is ok. I filmed the same scene with my iPhone 7 plus, my mirrorless camera and with this camcorder. I found that I preferred the mirrorless camera the best in terms of video and audio. The iPhone came in second and so this camcorder came in last. The audio quality was really low - it did not pick up the sounds that the mirrorless camera and the iPhone did. I'm not sure if I need an accessory or fix a setting but the audio with this camcorder is very poor. The image quality is on par with my iPhone which is good enough for my purposes.

Not a bad video camera for the price....
So far so good, I don't have any complaints. The video camera is lightweight, comes with a memory card, and two batteries it's not so hard to figure out how to use it and so far I like it.

This camera is not HD.
The picture wasn't clear. Little blue light are visible when looking through viewfinder and viewing your image. The picture is far from HD as is advertise on the box.

Disappointing
This camera is only $50 so I wasn’t expecting anything fantastic. I’m also spoilt because I just bought a proper DSLR camera. Things started off quite well. The packaging looks nice. Inside you get the camera, simple soft case, two batteries, a Kingston brand 16gb memory card and a USB flash card reader, a wall plug with USB out, a USB to camera charging cable and an analog RCA video out cable. The USB cable has a tiny D plug on the camera end for charging the battery. It’s not a type I have seen before. It’s about half the size of MicroUSB on my phone. Because I have not seen a USB cable like it, I’m not sure where you would get a replacement. Batteries were already charged so I was ready to go straight away. First impression was that there was a lot of good stuff and the camera is quite compact. Then I noticed there was no lens cap or shutter to cover the lens when turned off. Installing the battery and flash card was simple. Both hatches have sprung latches and can’t be opened easily. Controls are simple with separate video and photo buttons. Zoom in/out. Menu button and a Digital pad with center OK button and a display button that cycles display modes. There is also a play button to preview all your digital movies and images on the camera. Menus are simple to navigate, have few options but there are quite a few white balance settings to choose from. In Use On turning it on, the screen is small and updates at less than 30 seconds. The picture on the display was quite grainy, especially at low light and zooming just made the grain bigger. I hoped maybe this was just the display and the video quality when played back might be better. Unfortunately, the video playback was still grainy and closer to 15 fps than the 30 it showed in the menus. It stores the video to the flashdrive in .avi format which is pretty obsolete these days since Mp4 became the standard for most compressed video cameras. Conclusion This camera is less than $50. It’s cheap and you shouldn’t expect much. If you have a smart phone, even an old one from 2010 it will have a much better camera and take better video. I really can’t recommend this for anyone other than maybe as a toy for kids. Even then it’s an expensive toy and probably won’t last very long. It’s a shame because like most things I choose to review. I want to like it, but to be honest this camera is disappointing.
