Works amazingly! Quiet. The flow rate is way too much for my tank and it’s not adjustable.

Not typically the type to leave a review but I just have to talk about this filter for a second. It is quite large. Takes up an entire end piece of my 10G tank. My previous Aqua filter was not as robust. 3 stage filtration. I also added filter floss and I run sponge filters in my tanks. It primes itself - big plus. The flow is not adjustable - however it’s PERFECT for 10G. It comes out strong and moves water from end to end. I have a 20G community tank with a Fluval AC3 with added media and to be honest I like this Aqua-Tech more. For two reasons - it’s damn near silent. And for its size that’s impressive. All I hear is the water flow. Reason two is its filtration. I know these units come down to how you take care of them and what you put in them. But for a right out of the box filter, it cleared the tank quicker and more efficiently than the Fluval. I can’t speak for longevity as I just got it a few days ago. However, this seems to be a fantastic buy for the money. I’ve spent a lot more on other filters that I like less.

Seems to work well. Filtering algae and excess food. Seems to do a good job circulating the water. It was loud at first due to the lid vibrating. A little gasket would avoid. I added a soft clip to cushion the lid and much quieter. Wish the filters were cheaper

This is the second 30-60 gal Aqua Tech filter that I have purchased. It is identical to the first one that lasted 3 years. That pump still worked but the outside housing developed a leak that I could not find and fix. I suppose a very small crack, but a crack none-the-less. I am not sure why it gets negative reviews on quietness. This one cannot even be heard even when standing beside of it. Yes, there is a slight splashing noice when the filtered water hits the top of the tank water, but that is normal. If one doesn't like splashing noice, then raise the level of the tank water. Reviewers are correct in stating it is too big for a 10--20 gallon tank. I am wondering if they did not see on the box that shows it is for a 30-60 tank. Perhaps the reviews for the smaller filters got mixed up with this one. The only negative that I have, and it doesn't effect the rating, is that it comes with two very inferior filters. But I guess those two are better than nothing when one first uses it. Much better are the EZ-Change Cartridge #3. The queston is: "would you buy it again?" I did.

0 stars. I’ve never been this disappointed or upset with a product. This filter failed and appeared to backflush unfiltered water into my tank, which caused a severe nitrite spike and killed all 18 of my fish—over $350 in losses. Beyond the financial loss, I’m heartbroken. These weren’t just fish; they were part of our home. My children are devastated, and watching the fish struggle and die while I tried everything to save them was incredibly distressing. In the process of attempting emergency interventions, I also had to disturb and uproot several plants, putting the entire aquarium ecosystem under even more stress. What makes this worse is that I later found another review with a video showing the same issue. I truly wish I had taken that as a warning. I purchased this filter in February. A product like this should not fail in such a catastrophic way after such a short time. This experience has been devastating and completely unacceptable. I strongly urge anyone considering this filter to look elsewhere.

Es mi 3er filtro, ha sido el mejor hasta ahora. el nivel de ruido es tolerable y cumple muy bien la función. Actualización... duró sólo 3 meses y dejó de funcionar

Después de 2 filtros anteriores que no duraron ni un año, encontré este. Es un excelente filtro, de muy fácil ensamble e instalación y los reemplazos se consiguen muy fácilmente. Mantiene el agua de mi acuario ( 30L ) en perfectas condiciones por meses!

Es de buen precio, ópera de forma muy silenciosa, es potente, de fácil de instalación y de buen tamaño para una pecera pequeña
