The product arrived as it appears in photos by the manufacturer. Real, sturdy bamboo leaves that are great for making tea! It has a very subtle, but earthy flavor and would benefit with the addition of a sweetener. After drinking this with honey (and sometimes fresh oregano) for a little over a week, I began to notice that my fingernails were becoming as hard as knives, so much to the point that I had to cut them to prevent from scratching my young daughter. I definitely saw less hair breakage, and the texture has also become more "straw like"....that's the best way that I can describe it. It seems less brittle but not as soft/pliable, if that makes sense. This is my first time buying bamboo leaves so I have nothing to compare them to, but overall I like them and would probably buy them again. *Would also like to add that I have sensitive skin and tend to be allergic to some grasses, leaves, etc., and I did not find that I had an allergic reaction to this product UNTIL I added milk in on one occasion. I would say that I had some sort of dermatitis on my arm that lasted a few days, and was very itchy. I didn't see it again once it cleared and after I refrained from adding milk to the bamboo tea.

It was for medicinal purposes recommended for healing a broken bones. It tastes a bit bitter but hopefully works.

We used this for making our own tea blend. It tasted very fresh, blending well with our homegrown ingredients.

In addition to its light but great taste, this tea also appears to have other benefits. Bamboo teas are known to be rich in silica, which supports collagen formation. Collagen is a protein that assists in forming connective tissue leading to strong nails, healthier hair, and reducing wrinkle formation in skin. In addition to assisting with this attributes, collagen is known to increase muscle strength and flexibility as well as improved bone strength.
