I now have two of these anvil blade,l 30" long-handle lopper. I bouoght a second Gonicc lopper (same model) after two years because I tend to misplace my tools in a 1/4 acre garden and I get frustrated spending time hunting for a misplaced tool. This Gonicc lopper is easy to handle for a petite, 90 lb, 4 ft 8 in, elderly woman with arthritis in her hands. I also have a much more expensive, 24" Felco lopper with bypass blades. I tend to favor the Gonicc loppers because I like the anvil action blade. For thickly branched shrubs (big, overgrown bushy roses), I have different sizes of the Made In Japan Nishigaki Futomaru long-reach loppers which are designed with a swan neck stem that reaches through thickly branched shrubs. (The Hida Tool shop on San Pablo Avenue in Berkeley, CA carries these Japanese manufactured garden tools). For any size yard/garden, these tools are for the hobby or serious professional gardener/yard maintenance person.

This item worked perfectly for what I was doing, which was pruning blueberry bushes. I was able to get and close where I needed to remove dead, wood, etc. And it wasn’t too heavy, and cut very cleanly. Also purchased the hand tuner by the same manufacturer, and I am just as happy with that also.

Works Great

Just a little heavy in the hand so you want to use your hand shears when you can, but this is the Dude when you need to cut heavy branches. I’ve been using a compound action Sears anvil cutter since 1985 and mourned it loss when the wood handle snapped. This Gonicc shear is great! Feels like a pro tool that gives you confidence that it won’t let you down tackling a big clean out job. Worth having even if not your everyday tool... but if you regularly need it it is an even greater choice.

Sharp blade, cuts thru large branches easily. But you can tell the hollow handles are a point of weakness, so do not attempt to cut anything over 1.5” thick. Another customer tried it and bent the handle. Still, it’s a quality product. I did find it necessary to super glue the rubber handles, as hot weather allowed the silicon adhesive to soften and the rubber slid right off. No problems since.

Do NOT Buy! These don't cut through anything. The handles come off and extend on their own. Would definitely spend my money on something else

Had to replace a bad pair of loppers I bought on Amazon just a couple months ago. (They seized up!) This pair works great!
