Though the ukulele sounds great when it's in tune, it falls out of tune very quickly due to loose tuning pegs. Taking an alan key to the screws once in a while helps immensely, but it is definitely a pain.

This is definitely a solid uke for a beginner. Are they're better ones out there? Sure, but you'll pay more & this is plenty good for a starter. I had no problem tuning it. Anyone who's played a uke knows that it takes a few days to stretch new strings. After a week, I didn't have to retune hardly at all. I typically play half an hour a day.

Not too bad. The beginner guide is a little less than what I was expecting, but that's not that big of a deal as I'm sure it'll come in handy eventually. Love the green color! My E & C strings have tend to stay in tune the least amount of time so far, and tuning can take awhile. But I do feel that that is probably something that just comes with playing an instrument. When it IS tuned, however, it sounds really nice! I've had a very easy time picking this up so far, and am looking forward to learning more!

This uke isn't terrible, but its also not fabulous. Basically I bought it looking for a throwaway uke for my job. When I first got it I tried to tune it and I was pretty disappointed. IT WOULD NOT TUNE. But then the strings stretched and finally it was able to keep a tune (sort of). It has a very islandy sound when it is tuned. Although it sounds okay when its tuned it falls out of tune A LOT. It is a pretty amazing tool for kids. They say you get what you pay for and this is very true for this uke. I would say for a cheap ukulele, it is definitely pretty good.

Started chord guide nog included. It was the whole reason I chose this vs other ukuleles. I was ripped off. Unless the starter chord guide gets sent to me asap I’m sending this back.

I like this uke, but not being a uke player I'm not particularly picky, either. It was a christmas gift for my 6-year-old son, who is excited and interested in learning how to play stringed instruments. I feel like there is a bit of a challenge with the tuning on it; I can get it in tune with a tuner but then fretted notes seem to be a bit sharp to my (very picky) ear. Overall it's playable but I wouldn't consider it a concert instrument, just one to enjoy and have fun strumming around at the house.

I mean, for the price (I bought this for my 5 year old stepdaughter) it's "playable." I filed the fret ends a little bit and put new strings on it. Doesn't sound great really, but my step daughter loves it. For a serious beginner I couldn't recommend it as it is closer to a children's toy than a serious instrument.

Great for beginners! This was the perfect uke to learn on. Even as I upgrade to a better ukulele, this soprano will forever remain a valuable member of my collection. The strings that came on this uke weren't great, but after changing them, this instrument couldn't have fulfilled my needs better.

Kids asked for a guitar for Christmas. This was the cheapest I could find. Real wood! 5 months later and 1 out of 2 is slightly broken. Lasted longer then I had hoped.

I received this in the mail. I was really excited to open this up and see how to get started. To my surprise, there was no starter guide. Instead, I got their 2016 Catalogue. I am very upset that the starter guide was not included as mentioned in the product description.
