Small and unobtrusive. Looks nice on the wall.

Solid. Modern. Attractive.

Solid. Looks great and works well. Wasn’t super easy to install but worth the effort

Terrible experience from start to finsih

First the box arrived with no instructions and missing the mounting anchors. No big deal, Amazon quickly sent me a replacement unit - yay Amazon.Let me preface the rest of this review by saying I am a general contractor. I know what I'm doing.First of all no where in the description does it mention that this is for new construction. If you are trying to use this as a replacement doorbell you have to be very careful to protect the wires. You cannot drill the center hole as shown in the instructions. The 'instructions' are minimal at best and not specific to the unit I ordered. They say things like 'use the appropriate drill bit' instead of specifying a size. I had no choice but to assume I was to drill the anchor holes the size of the hole in the template. This caused the flimsy plastic anchors to split apart when trying to insert them into the hole.In the end I had to remove the ruined anchors (which looked nothing like the picture) from the wall and caulk the button in place. Good luck to whoever has to remove it.It's a good looking button but lacking any kind of correct hardware for installation and clear instructions. If you are not handy stay away.

Looks good but instructions could be a LOT better!

The installation on this is pretty fussy, but the instructions do not help much. They say to drill some holes to put in the anchors.. but do not say anything about the size. 7/32 was definitely too small, but 1/4" was a bit too bigThe card board template was used as part of the packing material. By the time I got it, the motion of the steel doorbell plate while the box was tossed around in shipping had enlarged the holes enough that the template was useless. Also, the position of the holes is very critical. The spacing probably needs to be within 1/32" tolerance to make this work. There is absolutely zero "give" in the pin spacing. I had to mount this into stucco, where its pretty hard to get holes positioned exactly right. So, I made my own template from some 1/2" plywood. I first removed the button from the plate, then set the plate on the plywood and pressed it into the plywood to make a dent in the wood at the pin locations. I then drilled out the holes with a 1/8" bit. Now, test fit the plate to make sure the hole spacing is correct.. I got it close enough on the first try, but if the plate does not fit the template, mover over a bit and drill some new holes and try again.I was able to use one existing hole in the wall, and it had a plastic screw anchor already in it. So, I attached my wood template to the wall with a screw. I got the holes lined up vertically, then tightened the screw to hold the template in place. I then used a 1/8" masonry bit to drill the second hole, bracing the template with one hand to make sure it did not move. I have some masonry bits with pretty sharp points, and I am sure this helped to keep the bit from wandering as I started the hole. Then I worked my way up through a series of larger drills until I had a 1/4" hole. This worked pretty well, and the hole location was close enough. Whew! Then the anchors they provide are also a bit marginal. They can work fine in a blind hole, but my stucco layer was thinner than the anchor length. As soon as I tried to press the plate into the anchors, the anchors just pushed into the wall. I realized this was happening, and stopped pushing, then was able to hand thread a screw into the anchors and pull them back out again. Fortunately they had not gone too far and fallen into the wall!I finally ended up pushing the anchors part way onto the pins THEN putting the whole assembly into the wall. When the anchors go fully onto the pins the base expands a lot... too much to go into the holes. So, I pushed until the base expanded a bit but still went into the holes. When I finally pushed the plate into place, I think the anchors moved into the wall rather than staying in place and expanding fully... but it is in good enough to not fall out.It would have been much better if the anchors had a flange to keep them from going too far into the wall.It might be worth using a bit of caulking compound or silicone glue to help hold the plate in place.Anyway, the doorbell button looks good, and works fine. The steel is pretty soft and scratches easily. We will see how it looks in a few years.

Nice, unnecessarily costly, and deflective customer service.

This doorbell was what we were looking for because we wanted a minimalist design. It arrived with a scratch on the face, and when I reached out to the manufacturer, they said to send it back through Amazon. We installed it anyway not wanting to jump through those hoops, as it had already taken a while to get the 1st one. Given the cost, and markup, you think they would have just sent a replacement. It's been about 3 months, and it seems to work without a hitch. I'd look elsewhere next time given the cost, and customer service response.

Button works fine. Very unsecure mount

The button works fine. The mounting is a joke. You can't drill holes in plywood, put drywall anchors in and expect to successfully shove a solid metal rod into it without just pushing the anchor through. I solved the problem with 2 sided tape which will probably fail eventually. The price is pretty obscene for a plate of aluminum with a button mounted to it. I own it now so I'll use it but I wouldn't buy it again.Side note, the instructions are vague and don't even tell you which size drill bit to use, not that it would make difference because drywall anchors only work with screws. I'd recommend drilling holes just thinner than the metal posts themselves.
