100 FT Garden Hose Expandable - 304 Stainless Steel Water Hose 100 FT - Heavy Duty Flexible Kink Free Hose, no Bite

I moved into a condo and as I don't have much use for a hose, I bought one of those "shrinking" hoses you see on tv. It worked fine for me - for about 3 months, and then it somehow developed a leak. Being angry with the pathetically short life span of my "shrinking" hose, I decided to try something a little tougher - metal! I had never heard of a metal hose and was skeptical when I first saw it on Amazon. After reading the reviews (and with the 3 month life span of my last hose still on my mind), I decided to give it a try - and boy am I happy I did! This hose is very light and super easy to maneuver around (it doesn't have the "memory" of rubber hoses). Trust me - you're going to be shocked at how easy it is to coil the hose up when done! And as you would expect, this hose is tough! I hate to say it but the very first time I used it, my screen door accidentally slammed on it - and nothing happened to the hose (no dent, no leak, no problem)! This hose is awesome and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hose!

I've only owned the product for about a month. It is surprisingly flexible and so far has held up well under muddy conditions. It seems pretty resistant to knotting and obviously doesn't kink. I've had no issues with pressure, while I've had several conventional hoses burst from pressure. (But then, it is winter now.) The nozzle that the hose comes with seems high quality and works well with a nice, soft, neoprene grip. The only downside so far is that the hose imparts that 'new hose smell' to the water. I have no idea what chemical is being leached out, but after a month I believe the smell is much less obvious.

I've only used it a few times, but so far, I'm very happy with this hose. It's very flexible and seems to be well constructed. I replaced a coiled hose that got me as wet as what I was pointing it at. This hose takes up less space, doesn't get caught on anything, and doesn't leak a drop of water any where. I'm not a fan of the nozzle, but that's my personal preference. The twist nozzle that is provided is high quality and works well. I just like a nozzle with a pull trigger and selectable patterns better. I can't judge the durability, but I will update this after a few months of use.

We have had this hose for nearly 2 years. I actually really liked it and will buy another. However, it is very sensitive to cold. I left in out overnight when the temps got down to 11degF at night. I disconnected it thinking it would empty itself out mostly as it usually does and the electricity inside the unpressurized hose would absorb any expansion from whatever water was left freezing. It did not. The next day I hooked it up and it just dumped all out somewhere in the middle of the hose. Seems the inside tube had torn. It seems the high elasticity rubber that is used inside is more sensitive to tearing when cold than normal hoses. I have no reason to believe it would not have kept working well had I not let it freeze. Not a lifetime hose as there is no way that type of elasticity will last forever, it will tear eventually, but with better care from the cold I think it will last at least a few years. I will buy another and be more vigilant with storing it inside in the winter. For a winter hose, try the goodyear hoses, I have been happy with one of those in the winter. This hose is a great summer hose. I was a little conerned it might scratch up the painted concrete pool deck surface when the steel hose is dragged around. It did not, I was very happy about that. Also used it for construction, lawn sprinklers etc and it always worked well, cleand up easily etc. It is a lower volume hose, but just know that when you buy it. Our water pressure is usually around 80-85psi, so this has good enough flow for us, I could see if you water pressure were down around 40-50psi, if could be annoyingly low flow me you may want something else, depending on your use.

This hose is amazing! It doesn’t kink when you pull it and the sun is no match for it. I’ve had this for a little under a year with no problems at all. I strongly recommend this hose.

I’ve waited 6 months to leave this review. I don’t typically write reviews, but this deserves one. Every year I ask for a new hose for my birthday, and every year my husband delivers. They all suck. They kink, leak, etc. I have a cactus garden in my front yard and I turned the sprinkler system off to the bed, so I can water when I want to. This hose has changed my life! I’m not kidding. It CANNOT physically kink, it’s so easy to roll up, so easy to pull around, it’s never leaked( even after taking off the sprayer and screwing on a fertilizer head), it’s not hot to touch, it’s lightweight, I can throw it on the ground without damage, …….i can go on and on. It’s actually a pleasure to pull it out and use it. It doesn’t take up a lot of space and looks great rolled up on my house. All of my neighbors comment on my cool hose. Please buy this hose.

The second time I used the water hose, I noticed it was leaking. I messaged Amazon (VERY simple process). UPS picked up the defective hose from my house the very next day, and two days later I had a replacement. If it withstands the test of time it will be awesome. It doesn't kink up. It doesn't get hung on everything (like roots and rocks) and rolls up pretty tight for storage. Hopefully, this will be the last hose I will have to buy for a while. It looks pretty cool, too!

Controls my sprinkler system and waters my lawn unsupervised. Used a leader hose. Don't forget to use one of those to prevent expensive replacements.

Perfect product for the yard. No kinks, takes up little space, easy to handle.....very nice!!
