Works as advertised!
The Scotwood Industries 12J-RR Road Runner Premium Ice Melter is amazing! It works quickly and efficiently, melting ice and snow even in sub-zero temperatures. Works pretty good!
Have used it in the past and works pretty good. Ordered a jug for my elderly father so he has it on had if he needs it this winter.

Bad shipping
Product is what i ordered. The problem was in packaging. Container was open in shipping box. The result was : carrying box in the salt was all over my carpet and just poured out of box seal.. As i said product is very good, amazon packaging was not.

Could not find in stores
I have used these before they are convenient to keep in car during winter months without having a mess

Good product to use for deicing sidewalks!
This product is great! However, when it arrived, the top was partially open, so much of the ice melt had fallen out of the bottle and into the box and bag. It was messy!

Broken containers
Ordered 4 of these 12 pound containers. 3 were just delivered by USPS. 2 of the containers had broken lids and the ice melt product was loose inside outer packaging. Certainly some of the ice melt product is lost and the easy pour lids on two containers are not usable……broken into pieces.

Works, but in chunks
The salt chunks are large, so it does melt the ice, but not the whole patch of ice. It makes holes in the ice like pock-marks. Next time I'll go back to finer grade ice melt so it will spread more evenly. I tried this brand because it was cheap, but I would have to use half the container to get it to melt just the ice on my small (3x4) porch quickly. However, I kept a medium-sized amount (about 2-3 cups) on the porch instead of adding more, and within 24 hours all the ice was melted while it was still freezing outside. So, it does work, it just takes a while. I'll try it the rest of the season and see how it does.
