easy to program
programming was easy. the board sits kind of loose inside the key, can hear it shake in there. not sure if some kknd of quality control issue. unlock/lock works however. havent programmed the chip yet but will do soonedit: no need to remove the black plastic gasket like shown in the video. i noticed removing it causes the circuit board to shake inside the key housing. leaving it in still lets you press the buttons and circuit board stays in place.

LOVED!!! DEFINITELY SAVES YOU MONEY!!
it's a good duplicate!! Especially if you are on a budget or just need a extra key! Super easy to program and worked pretty well! The look ofc isn't the best bit it makes up for it in durability! Also you can get it carved into your normal key at different places! No need buying a 300$+ key

Don't Work: Can't Be Programmed to Start Car, Can't be Cut By Locksmith, No BMW Authorization
This replacement key fob looks great, but ultimately does not function. It can be programmed to unlock and lock the car, but it cannot be programmed to start the car. BMW will not provide any authorization or support for programming or key cutting using this replacement key fob. It's a shame, because this product should be workable, but it doesn't function. I blame BMW. BTW, Replacement key fobs direct from BMW are no longer available, so car owners are out of luck. I've filed a formal complaint with BMW, I suggest you do the same.

Remote FOB works with 2005-2006 Mini Coopers R53
Remote lock/unlock/trunk works great and uses a replaceable 2032 battery. Make sure to pop open and remove the plastic tab on the inside preventing the buttons to be pushed. It was set to 315 mhz and I was able to program it to my 2005 Mini Cooper S successfully out of the box.

Programmed easily
I now have a new key that is fully functional.Followed some random internet instructions to program the fob. Used a the working key to cycle between first position and off 5 times very quickly and removed the key. (didn't work when trying a single "on/off" turn of the key). I then held the unlock button while pressing the center button 3 times on the new key and letting go of all the buttons. Be sure the doors are closed, you are in the driver's seat, and the doors are unlocked. The remote on the new key worked fine once this process was completed. The original key remote was not functioning, likely due to a dead battery, so the "good" key doesn't need to lock and unlock for this step to work.It would not start the car though. So I started the car with my working key, turned it off and very quickly, like immediately, inserted the new key tried to start the car, and it actually worked. Not sure if it will work for everyone, but this managed to sync the transponder in my 2000 528iT with no fuss. Just turned the car off and with no delay out the new key in and now it works like a factory original.I had an original key fob that was missing the internal parts. I cut that key open and took the electronics out of this one and installed them in my OEM key and glued it back together. So I didn't actually use the blank and fob itself. Just made an empty OEM cut blank operational.
